CAS Band 40th Anniversary Concert
The CAS Band 40th Anniversary Concert, with the theme of “One Belt One Road: Cultural
Exchange and Integration”, was held at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium on 3 December 2016.
The concert was officiated by the Permanent Secretary for Security Mr Joshua Law
Chi-kong, JP, and representatives of various government departments, uniformed groups
and youth organisations were invited to the concert with over 2,000 tickets distributed.
The CAS Band gave marching and sitting performance of more than 40 Chinese and
western works in the concert. To tie in with the theme, Band members put on traditional
costumes when playing the music of “Belt and Road” regions. In addition, Artists
Andrew Cheung and Peter Cheung were invited to sing the theme song “One Belt One
Road”, garnished with classic songs performed by the Hong Kong Parents Choir and a
footdrill performance given by the Footdrill Team of the CAS Social Club. The
wonderful show was well received and vehemently applauded by the audience.
The Permanent Secretary for Security Mr Joshua Law Chi-kong, JP, accompanied by the
CAS Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioners, strikes the gong to kick off the
concert.
