TekDek™– Functional, Thoughtful DesignKenall engineers and designers have developed an innovative, patented design that delivers superior glare control and a variety of lumen packages for today’s parking structure. A specially-designed textured lens, working in conjunction with secondary optics, reduces disabling and discomfort glare, while also providing uplight and enhancing vertical illumination. When paired with Kenall's TekLink™ lighting control system, TekDek delivers the right amount of light exactly when and where it’s needed.

• Glare Reduction Kenall’s innovative textured lens provides

unprecedented glare reduction—greatly enhancing both vehicle and patron safety while preserving the optical distribution pattern.

• Die-cast Housing TekDek’s marine-grade, die-cast aluminum housing

provides maximum strength and durability. To maximize LED life, the housing design also includes a thermal air gap between the fixture’s temperature-sensitive drivers and its heat emitting components.

• Vertical Footcandles Kenall's parking garage luminaires provide double—

often triple—the vertical footcandles of typical LED parking garage lighting.

• Uplight Feature TekDek provides a highly desirable uplighting

component to eliminate the problematic “cave effect” commonly found in traditional parking decks.

• Embedded Microwave Sensor Unaffected by line of sight issues, the internal,

embedded sensor provides a consistent coverage pattern. The system antenna is concealed within the housing making it impervious to vandalism. Adjustable sensitivity settings are also available via remote control.

• Sealed Optics The lens is sealed, gasketed and IP65 rated.

• Traditional Design Aesthetic The TekDek luminaire delivers an aesthetically

TekDek™ Flexible Mounting TypesBecause no two installations are exactly alike, TekDek luminaires are available with a range of mounting options and accessories.

Direct-to-Surface Mount (DTS)*

Secures the fixture directly to the ceiling via a simple and secure four-hole mounting plate.

*Required for Peace of Mind Guarantee®

Quick Mount (QM)

Includes an integrated hanger bracket to hold the fixture, facilitating ease of installation and maintenance. The quick mount uses a simple twist-and-click motion to set the fixture into place.

Pendant Mount (PM)

For use whenever an aesthetically pleasing, suspended configuration is desired. Pendant by others.

Trunnion Mount (TK)

A common mounting option for use when a suspended configuration with additional support is desired.

Bird Guard (BG)

Available for both the pendant and trunnion mounts, the bird guard protects the fixture from birds nesting in exposed areas.

TekDek™ Installation and Maintenance: As Easy As 1-2-3*

1. Remove three (3) screws on housing to open.

2. Hinge pin allows luminaire to swing down and away from housing, or remove it to separate the luminaire from the housing.

3. To close the fixture, simply push up firmly while re-fastening the three housing screws.

SPECIFICATIONS

HOUSING: Marine-grade die-cast aluminum and UV-stabilized polycarbonate construction. Standard TGIC polyester power coat fi nish on aluminum components with fi ve-step pre-treatment to withstand 1,000 hour salt spray test per ASTM B117. See Ordering Information for available fi nishes. Closed-cell silicone gasketing seals all housing component interfaces. Die-cut closed-cell neoprene self-adhesive gasket seals housing to mounting surface (DTS).

MOUNTING: Direct-to-surface (DTS) mounting over recessed junction box, Trunnion Mount (TK) or pendant-mounted (PM) via ¾" (1.91 cm) rigid sealed conduit (by others). See Ordering Information for selection. Housing access secured via tamper-resistant Torx™ fasteners.

OPTICAL: Type II, V-Narrow and V-Square roadway distributions available. UV-stabilized, high-impact resistant injection-molded clear textured 100% DR acrylic or polycarbonate tertiary lens.

ELECTRICAL: Serviceable high-brightness LED array. See Ordering Information for color temperature and CRI options. 70 CRI minimum. 120-277 VAC, 347VAC and 480VAC 50/60Hz single-phase input; constant-current dimming driver; <10% THD, >0.95 PF. Minimum 83% electrical effi ciency. 0-10V dimming protocol with 1-100% range, 0.2mA source current. Replaceable surge suppressor rated to 20kA/kV per IEEE/ANSI C62.41 Cat. A. EMC compliant with FCC 47 CFR Part 15, Class B. Passes IEC 61000-4-4 EFT and IEC 61000-4-5 (Class 4) surge evaluation.

TEKLINK™ TL50: An independent lighting control system embedded in the luminaire, featuring its own occupancy sensor, daylight harvesting and adjustable time-out/dimming settings.

TEKLINK™ TL100: Centralized, wired zonal occupancy and closed-loop daylight harvesting control system. TL100 controllers are standalone devices and ordered separately for luminaire. Click here for specifi cations.

TEKLINK™ TL1000/2000: An adaptive lighting control system with wired or wireless communication between system nodes. In addition to occupancy detection and daylight harvesting, TL1000 and TL2000 feature advanced scheduling and energy management capabilities with cloud-based management of system settings, reporting and notifi cations. Meets CA Title 24-2013 and ASHRAE 90.1-2013 requirements.

PHOTOMETRICS: Photometry tested to the IESNA LM-79-08 standard by an ILAC/ISO17025 accredited laboratory. For photometric data, please go to www.kenall.com.

TekDek™: Versatile Distribution OptionsTraditionally, LED lighting in parking garages provided no uplight, creating "cave effect" illumination—distributing light directly beneath the fixture while ignoring peripheral areas—creating dark corners and dim ceilings. Kenall’s TekDek LED offers a range of illumination patterns, including two IES Type 5 distributions to address a majority of applications, as well as a Type 2 distribution for mounting over drive lanes, and two unique house-side shield options.
