UPSILON EPSILON OMEGA

May 22, 2016

Greetings,

The members Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter would like to welcome you to our 7th Precious Pearls Cotillion. We consider it an honor and a privilege to present these lovely young ladies to society this evening!

It was truly our privilege to meet and grow with these five wonderful young ladies over the last six months. From the beginning, each young lady has embarked upon this journey with enthusiasm and commitment. It has been very exciting to facilitate this journey as each young lady learns what “Womanhood Defined” means to her. These Precious Pearl Debutantes have been exposed to a variety of experiences designed to give them a deeper understanding of themselves, and their communities, as well as to

introduce them to people, seminars and events that hopefully will have an impact on their lives for years to come!

Tonight, marks a significant milestone in the life of each young woman and we celebrate her journey towards womanhood. As we witness this culminating event we will learn of the accomplishments socially and academically of each Debutante. These young ladies are intelligent, articulate, and caring young women who impact the future and shape the world around them!

We would like to thank the parents, guardians, family and fiends that have supported these lovely young as one of our Debutantes! Your support and commitment to your children has been phenomenal. It is because of you that your child has grown to be a wonderful individual. Additionally, I express gratitude and sincere thanks to the Cotillion Chairman, Robyn Lyles, for her unselfish commitment and to the entire committee for their diligence and countless hours of service to ensure the success of this program.

Sincerely,

Ronicsa M. Chambers Ronicsa M. ChambersPresident, Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter

Greetings!

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Ladies of Vision Charities (LOV), Inc., the charitable arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter, I bring you greetings and welcome you to Upsilon Epsilon Omega’s Precious Pearls Cotillion.

This is such a special evening for the five young ladies - Debutantes - who are being formally presented this evening. After six months of training, leadership development, character building, community service and cultural enrichment, these young ladies have completed their journey to finer womanhood.

I commend them for their commitment and dedication to this program and the passion and energy that they gave to it. May they continue their journey into young adulthood. I hope the values, lessons, and teachings that the Upsilon Epsilon Omega Precious Pearls Cotillion program instilled in each of these young ladies are carried with them during their walk of life.

I encourage the Debutantes to grow toward the sun and light like a flower. Well-tended flowers continue to grow while others may whither or be overtaken by weeds. The attitude of the flower is to stay focused on its mission of growing toward the eternal light and in the process of its existence bring beauty to its surroundings. Debutantes, continue to grow and seek all that is bright, and bring beauty to the world on your journey into young adulthood.

Special thanks to the parents and guardians, family and friends of our Debutantes. I know that your support and love helped to foster them on this journey. Additionally, I would like to thank Robyn Lyles, Chairman, of this event and the Cotillion Committee for their hard work and countless hours of service to ensure the success of the Precious Pearls Cotillion Program.

Sincerely,

Leslie Lyles SmithLeslie Lyles SmithPresident, LOV Charities, Inc.

Greetings 2016 Precious Pearls, family and friends,

On behalf of the 2016 Precious Pearls Cotillion Committee, I would like to extend deepest joy and sincere gratitude for the opportunity to pour into the lives of the five young ladies being presented on this grand occasion. Tonight’s ball is the highlight of a six month cotillion program filled with enriching workshops, cultural outings, community service and bonding experiences. I sincerely hope that these young ladies, our “Debs”, have grown and developed a bond with one another that will last a lifetime.

I would like to thank the parents for their support and commitment to their Precious Pearl and the program. As the cliché states, “it takes a village” and we could not have achieved our program goals without parental support. Whether it was making sure your Deb got to an event on time or being that gentle voice of

encouragement, your help was appreciated.

I would like to thank the chapter, Upsilon Epsilon Omega and the charitable arm of the chapter, Ladies of Vision, Incorporated, for their unwavering support of the program, the Debutantes and the Cotillion committee. We are entering our 7th year and with the commitment and dedication of each of our 90 plus members, the Cotillion program is truly “unstoppable”!

Lastly, to the Debs, it has been a pleasure working with and getting to know you these past six months. I hope that this experience has brought you perspective, knowledge and most importantly friendships to last a lifetime. To those who are graduating: stay focused and committed to the values your family has instilled in you. Do well, have fun and make everyone proud- especially yourselves! To those who are entering their senior year: stay focused and finish strong. The best is yet to come!

To all of the Precious Pearls, I can’t wait for you to show the world how great you are! Seek knowledge and become educated, not just academically, but spiritually and emotionally. Relish in your power and seek to empower others. You are exquisite young ladies; let your beauty shine from the inside out!

I wish you success beyond your wildest imagination, more happiness than your heart can hold and an abundance of love- so much so, you will have no choice but to give some away!

“The power you have is to be the best version of yourself you can be, so you can create a better world.” ~ Ashley Rickards

With love,

Robyn Lyles
