NOMINATION CONDITIONS

The event will be run under EA/FEI rules

The OC reserves the right to change or amend the program at its discretion.All owners and competitors will be personally responsible for damages to any third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their animals.All riders and owners in graded classes must be financial members of EA. To compete in graded classes, all horses must hold current EA registration and performance cards.

Membership of Jumping NSW

All NSW riders must be financial members of Jumping NSW.

Safety Any person mounted upon a horse, must be wearing a properly secured helmet and correct footwear, which must comply with USA, Australian or European helmet standards.

Registrations Any person competing in a class, must have a registration in that class either via Global Entries Online – or as a change of rider via the Office.

GST GST is included in all fees and charges including entries and stables.

Prize money Prize money will not be given out in any case unless grading cards have been sighted by the judge – prize money claim forms will need to be initialled by the judge or office before payment can be processed.

Prize money will be paid via eft – in the week immediately after the event. Prize money claim forms will be given to all winning riders and will have GST added where appropriate – ABN numbers must be supplied for GST to be added to prize money.

EA age rules These will apply (taken from the National Jumping Rules Art 255 dated 1 January 2016)Juniors: Athletes may take part in competitions for Juniors until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 18. Athletes may take part in competitions, 1.20m and above from the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 12 years. Young Riders: Athletes may take part in competitions and Championships for Young Riders from the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 16 until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 21.

either Jumping or Eventing • Inthepast10yearsmustnothavecompetedinaWorldCupforJumpingRidersqualifyinground.• Mustnothavecompetedinsection1and2ataRoyalShowinSydney,Brisbane,Melbourne,AdelaideorPerthinthepasttwoyears• Mustneverhavecompetedina4*3DayEvent.• AmateurRidersmaynotcompeteinanAmateurclassiftheycompeteinaclass

higher than 1.20m at that show. • AmateurRidersmaynotcompeteinanAmateurclassonahorsethatwill

compete in any class higher than 1.20m at that show.

Dress Formal dress rules apply – however riders will be permitted to remove their jackets at the discretion of the OC or the Judge of each ring.

Presentations Will be mounted, and riders are expected to wear their coats.

Dogs Dogsarewelcome–butneedtobeonaleashatalltimes.DogsareNOTwelcomein the competition or warm up arenas at any stage.

Scratchings Refunds will be given (less a $25 admin fee) before the close of entries. After the close of entries, a 50%refunduponwrittenrequesttotheOConproductionofaVeterinaryorMedicalCertificatewillbegiven.Norefundswillbegivenforhorsesthat do not start in a class once the event has commenced – nor will stables be refunded beyond that point of time.

Entry changes These will be allowed, but each entry change will incur a $10 fee – such changes will not be actioned until payment is received. Entry changes must be made by 3.00pm each day.

Coaches and Parents

Please note when filling out entries for your students or children – if you do not correctly fill out the name of your student or child online – an admin fee of $20 per student/child will be imposed – this applies to any incorrect entry.

Concurrent classes

Where there are concurrent classes (a & b sections) in the program of events, horse & rider combinations may compete in only one part of the class.

Starts per day Horses may start in a maximum of 2 classes per day. Horses may start in one class in one ring and another in a different ring – but will not for example, be allowed to do 2 height classes and then an Amateur – or Junior event. A horse may only start inONEChampionshipDivision.

Prizes Entry Ratio a ratio of 1 prize for every 10 entries will be used in classes of over 50 riders. Where published prizes go to 5th place – entry fees will be returned to riders at that ratio. Eg 80 riders started in the class – 1st – 5th place ribbons and dollars, the 6th, 7th and 8th placed riders will receive their entry fee back.

1st or 2nd Year Registered Horses

ThiswillbecheckedwiththeNationalDataBase–andwillbefromthedateofissueof the Jumping Card.

Draw Order Ring One with no exceptions at any stage, will follow draw order.

Payment The“20MinuteRule”willapply.

Editing Entries Riders“editing”theirentrieswithadditionalroundsorhorses,stablesordaystayfees, will have their entire entry deleted if the additional payment is not made immediately.

CHAMPIONSHIP DIvISIONS

Juniors and Young Riders

may start 2 horses only in Rounds 1 and 2 of each Championship – due to time constraints and short daylight hours. Should space and time permit (at the close of entries) a third horse may be started. Juniors may start in both Junior and Young Rider Title classes, but not on the same horse – ie different horse & rider combination.

Block entry for all Championship Divisions

No refunds will be given if riders do not start in Round 2 of a Championship Division.TheblockentrywillincludetheFinalclass(iftheriderqualifies)andalsotheconsolationclass(fortheappropriatelevel).Riderswhoqualifyforafinalmaynot start in the Consolation class instead of that Final.

Changes RiderswhoneedtomovedownorupaChampionshipsDivisionmaydosoafterRound 1 – no extra entry fee will apply, however any points gained in the original ChampionshipDivisionwillNOTcarryover.

AhorsecanonlycompeteinoneChampionshipDivision.

1.15m Championship Division

Thisisforhorseswith16pointsorless.Ifahorsewinsorplacesinthetwoqualifyingroundstotaketheirpoints’totaltoover16–thehorsemaystayinthisChampionshipDivision.Thiswillalsoapplytothe1.25mChampionshipDivision.

DEtErMiNAtioN of ChAMpioN1 points will be allocated on places gained in all three rounds of a Championship Division.

2 the Champion will be the rider with the highest number of points over the three rounds.

3 points will be awarded on the number of starters in the first round for the first two rounds: eg if 50 starters, 1st place receives 51 points, 2nd place receives 49 points, 3rd place 48 points etc.

4 the AM5 qualifying round will receive a weighting of 10 points: if 50 starters in the 1st qualifier, 1st place will receive 51 points + 10 = 61 points; 2nd place will receive 49 points + 10 = 59 points etc.

5 points will be awarded on the number of starters in the final round with a weighting of 20 points – ie if 20 starters in final – 1st place will receive 21 points + 20 = 41 points; 2nd place 19 points + 20 = 39 points etc.

6 the first two rounds of a Championship Division will be (the order will depend on scheduling) a table C class over a table A Course (Art 239) and an AM5 (Art 238 2.2) – except in the 1.15m Division, Junior and Amateur Divisions, where the one round class will be an A2 Art 238 2.1

7 rounds 1 & 2 of a Championship Division will have random draws.

9 the final class (called the final round) will be run under Art 273 3.3.1, a competition over two rounds. penalties from the first and second round are added and the time of the second round will decide placings if there is equality of penalties.

10 there will be a seeded draw for the final round, but all riders will start on 0 penalties.

11 the numbers taken into the final round will be from 20 – 30 depending on the number of starters in round 1 of each Division. Qualified riders unable to start will be replaced.
