Nancy Doerge

How long have you been mentoring? I have been a mentor for 3 years Why do you feel the mentoring program is important? Mentoring is very important because it helps children that need some extra TLC and individual help with their homework. Also, it is a positive thing for the mentor. What would you say to someone who is thinking of becoming a mentor?

I encourage anyone who is looking for a way to serve others and have a positive impact on another person's life to consider being a mentor. It is only 1 hour a week during school and a small investment of time for a considerably large return.

How long have you been mentoring? I have been mentoring for almost one and half years. Why do you feel the mentoring program is important? I feel that the mentoring program is important because it helps the younger ones to learn, communicate, and have someone older that they can look up to. What would you say to someone who is thinking of becoming a mentor? I would tell them that becoming a mentor is a way to give back to your community and that an hour of their time per week would make a world of difference to whomever they get paired up with.
