As of Jan. 1, 2017, KU IT has migrated nearly 2,000 of the approximately 8,000 voice lines from the legacy Avaya phone system to Skype for Business phone service.

KU IT provides wireless internet service options for anyone needing Wi-Fi access while on campus. Faculty, staff and students enjoy access to the fast and secure JAYHAWK wireless network. Campus visitors have free access to our GUEST network.

In 2016, KU IT implemented a 100 Gbps network connection to Internet2, a collaborative research and educational environment focused on developing innovative solutions solving technological problems. KU is one of the first institutions in Kansas with a 100 Gbps connection to Internet2.
