2016 Killer Drop Red WineThe 2016 growing season was nice and even followed by welcome winter rains that helped to alleviate the drought, providing us with an exceptional harvest of nice ripe fruit. Our 2016 release of Killer Drop brings together fruit from several distinct growing areas of Northern California, including Napa Valley, Sonoma, Sierra Foothills, Lodi and Lake County. Each region contributes unique characteristics to the final blend, with it all coming together to create an expressive wine with multiple layers of complexity and balance. Taste Seductive and alluring Killer Drop opens with exuberant aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, blueberry, and wild berries with nuances of spice and licorice. On the palate, plushly textured and packed with black fruit and earthy layers, full-bodied, rich and juicy with expansive flavors of black cherry and spicy red fruit. The wine has compelling freshness, velvety texture with a long perfumed finish. Blend - Grenache, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Zinfandel Maturation - Aged for 10 months in French Oak, 25% new Alc. 14.5 %
