SchonmitneunJahrenwollteichThomaner*werdenunddeshalbübteichmeineStimme jedenTag.UmdieAufnahmeprüfung zubestehen,mussteichauchNotenlesenundschreibenkönnen.ManmussteauchTöneerkennenundeinInstrumentspielen.EndlichwurdeichindenThomanerchoraufgenommenundkamgleichinsInternat.Ichwurdeineiner„Stube“mitfünfanderenuntergebracht,wowirunterderAufsichteinesälterenThomanerswaren.JederhattedortnureinBett,einenSchrankundeinenSchreibtisch.Ichmussteimgymnasiummindestenseine„Zwei“schaffen,umimChorzubleiben.JederTagwarzwölfStundenlang.WirstandenschonumsechsUhrauf.MorgensgabesnormaleSchule,aberdieThomanerlerntenineinerextraKlasse.VordemfünfzehnminütigenMittagessenwurdeimmergesungen.NachmittagsundabendsgabesHausaufgabenundProben.ChorundgymnasiumwarenalsoeineDoppelbelastung.ManchmalgabesZeitzumFußballspielen,aberwirdurftennichtschreienwegendergefahrvonHeiserkeit.BeiKonzertenwurdenwirvorherimmergenauestenskontrolliert,obwiraucheinensauberenAnzug,saubereSchuheundHände,sowiegepflegteHaarehatten.Wir hatten alle sehr hoheAnsprüche anuns selbst und standenuntergroßemLeistungsdruck.Nichtjederhieltdasaus,undjedesJahrverließenJungendenChor.IchaberbrauchtediesenDruck!MusikistfürmichmehralsdieSummeallerNoten.IchhabedadurchZuverlässigkeit,DisziplinundTeamfähigkeitengelernt,undbesonders,unsimmeruntereinanderzuhelfen.MusikhilftmirauchStressundTraurigkeitzuüberwinden.AlsjetztAchtzehnjährigerblickeichaufdieletztenJahrezurückundbinsostolz,dassichdiegelegenheithatte, indiesemberühmtenChorzusingen,beidemeinstJohannSebastianBachChormeisterwar.Ich glaube auf jeden Fall fest daran, dass diese über 800-jährigeKulturinstitutiondieheutigeSpaß-gesellschaftüberlebenkann.
