Compass accepts electronic art and camera ready artwork. All art must be black and white. Please do not send art with half-tones. (Please note that whatever is provided in black will be engraved/imprinted.)

Compass prefers an EPS file with all text converted to curves or outlines. We do not recommend JPEG, BMP, or GIF files as they are usually of poor quality. We can accept art designed in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw in PC format. Please reference your company name and PO # in your e-mail. Manipulation of art may incur a charge.

Fototek only: Full color high-resolution artwork accepted. There is no limit to the number of colors allowed. We can accept full color photographs, pictures and other such items, assuming artwork is of high quality. TIFF files are preferred for electronic art.

Compass now provides artwork services. We can convert a poor, low-resolution file into a high quality, high-resolution EPS or AI file. We will then e-mail you the finished file for use on future orders. Please contact us for pricing.

CANCELLATIONS:All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations will be accepted only if the order has not been put into production. Customers are responsible for all costs incurred up to the time of cancellation.

CLAIMS:Damaged merchandise or shortages must be made in writing within 7 days of receipt of order.

DISCLAIMER:Compass cannot guarantee the exact color or shade of finished product between orders. Although it is very rare, it is possible for an item to be of a slightly different color or shade from one order to the next.

DROP OR SPLIT SHIPMENTS:There is a $9.00 (F) charge per location. 5 location maximum.

LESS THAN MINIMUMS:$35.00 (G) for all items. Absolute minimum is 1/2 of catalog minimum.

PATENTS, COPYRIGHTS, AND TRADEMARKS:Orders produced to customer’s specifications require the purchaser to assume all liability resulting from actions or demands brought against us for any infringements.

PAYMENT TERMS:Net 30 days with approved credit. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Invoices paid by credit card that are more than 30 days past due will by charged a 2% convenience fee.

PAPER PROOFS:There is a $12.50 (G) charge for a paper proof.

PMS COLOR MATCH:There is no charge for PMS matching on silk-screened or pad-printed items. Compass will come as close as possible to matching the color but cannot guarantee that the color will match a PMS chart exactly.

PRICING:All prices are subject to change without notice, however Compass will do our best to hold all pricing.

PRODUCTION TIME:Standard production on MagLites® is 5 business days, however production can be completed in as little as 48 hours - please inquire. Standard production on all other items is 7–10 business days, depending on item and availability. Rush orders are available. Please call for details. During the months of November and December, production times may be longer.

RETURNS:Merchandise cannot be returned without approval. No merchandise will be accepted after 30 days from receipt. All merchandise must be returned in their original packaging with all instructions and all appropriate materials included.

RIGHT TO PROMOTION:Compass reserves the right to use all logos in our displays and advertising unless we are notified in writing at the time the order is placed.

SAMPLES:All samples are billed at EQP. All next day air sample requests must be received no later than 2:30 pm EST on the day of the shipment. Please provide UPS or Fed-Ex account numbers for all shipments. We do not ship DHL. Samples may be returned within 30 days of receipt for credit on most items. Customer is still liable for all freight costs.

SET UP CHARGES:All art is kept for at least 2 years. Any change to art will incur a new set up charge.

SPEC SAMPLES:Charge for spec samples is $31.25 (G) plus cost of item and set up charge. If order is approved, set up charge will not have to be paid again.
