What is a Camp Card?• The “Camp Card” is designed to help

Individual Scouts earn their own way to summer camp, day camp or a high adventure base.

• It offers discounts at area business to the purchaser.

• The cards sell for $5.00.


Everyone Benefits from Camp Cards Ø Scouts earn their own way to camp.Ø Customers enjoy savings through discounts.Ø Businesses increase sales and advertising.Ø NBOF Council enjoys resources to improve

camps, service to units, and improve program.Ø Units can use other funds traditionally used

for camp to deliver improved program.


Earning Your Way to Camp

Scouts earn a commission of 50%

$2.50 on each card sold for $5.00


Collective Earnings for Camp• In 2013 Scouts earned a total of $50,373 toward camp.

• In 2014 Scouts earned a total of $81,893 toward camp.

• In 2015 Scouts earned a total of $94,570 toward camp.


TimelineFebruary 15 Online Enrollment deadline for unit orders & Show N Sell signs (Cost $5.00)

May 27Payments, prize forms and card returns due to SSC


Returns• Units can return their unused camp cards

until May 27 as long as the cards are in complete condition (no tabs missing).

• The unit is responsible for any cards that are damaged or not returned by May 27.

• Units may continue to sell unsold cards after they have settled their bill.


InvoiceUnits will be given an invoice when they receive their camp cards. The invoice can be completed and returned with payment by May 27, 2016


Late Payments•Unit commission drops to 40% if payments for cards is received after May 27.

•Unit commission drops to 30% if payments for cards is received after June 13.


Orders• Units need to enroll by February 15 to insure

their supply of cards is ready for distribution in March. Units can order online. http://tinyurl.com/j6rbuau

IncentivesAny Scout selling 50 Camp Cards be will receive a $25.00 gift card to the Scout Shop.


IncentivesTop Selling Scoutin each district will

receive a free week of camp at a

2016 NBOF summer camp.


Incentives

Top Selling Unit in each district will receive funding to have a pizza party for all of its

participating Scouts. The unit will receive a Papa John’s gift card so that the party can be held at their convenience. The card will be for $2.00 per

participating Scout.


Format for 2016 Camp Card• Three different cards for Harrisburg, York and Gettysburg/ Chambersburg areas are being offered.

• Order the cards with the offers that best suit your area and customers.

• Council-‐wide offers will be on all 3 cards.


Format for 2016 Camp Card• All cards will have both a “wallet” card with council-‐wide multiple-‐use offers and separate “punch-‐out” one-‐time use only offers.

• Many of these one-‐time use offers are specific to the geographic areas served.


Format for 2016 Camp CardThe 2016 Camp Card will be similar to the 2015 Camp Card, with 8 One use tabs and a multiuse wallet card.Cards will be shrink wrapped in packages of 50 cards.
