And, for our long-term care policy holders in the United States, there’s an added bonus. It’s called "Provider Pathway," a program offering access to a network of long-term care providers at discounted rates. The network includes dis- counts on products, such as hearing aids, diabetic supplies, per- sonal emergency response systems, and durable medical equip- ment, as well as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and adult day care. Eligibility for participation in this program is open to Knights of Columbus long-term care insurance policyholders, their spouses, dependent children, parents and parents-in-law. All providers are fully credentialed and meet state licensing requirements. If you haven’t yet spoken with me about long-term care insur- ance, you owe it to yourself to do so. There are a few decisions to make in choosing a "plan" — a comprehensive plan that cov- ers care whether you’re at home or in a facility, or one that cov- ers facility only; daily benefit amounts and benefit durations (how much and how long it will last); and the length of the elim- ination period (waiting period) before benefits kick-in. Many men have stepped up to help me make my job much easier. My theme word will be "Synergy" during my Grand Knight term. It means "The interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum or the individual elements." That sums up the men in our council. That is us as we "try" to walk in what Jesus would do. Vivat, Jesus. The State of Minnesota Council would like to honor our hard working council for earning the Double Star Council Award for fraternal year 2015-2016. Bob Penas wants to know a date and time to present this award to our council. I thought maybe December 15th or at our Steak raffle? I would want as many Knights at that gathering as possible. This recognizes our over all excellence in areas or membership recruitment and retension, promoting of Fraternal Insurance programs and sponsorship of service oriented activities. National Novena to Mary: Supreme Knight Carl Anderson along with Supreme Chaplin Archbishop Wm Lori would like us to join with them in invoking the Intercession of Mary, the Immaculate Conception, for our country leading up to election day. The prayer is as follows calling memeber's and faithful to join together in a novena to the Holy Trinity through the Maternal Intercession of the Blessed Mother on Sunday October 30th through Monday November 7th. Advent Reflection Morning: Saturday December 3rd at 8:30am to 12:00 noon. Fr. Jan Michael Joneas has blessed us with his presence. Our council and the Faith Formation at co-sponsoring this event. A special thanks to Franklin Vaga for all his hard work. We need Knights to help set-up, serve refreshments, and clean up. Our RSVP program is up and running again. Bryce Evans is in the Deaconates program and will be ordained this coming spring. He will join us at our November 15th meeting. Andrew Zipp will join us at our December 15th Christmas Party. NOVEMBER 13TH PANCAKE BREAKFAST

The October Pancake Breakfast turned out to be a financial success, even though we servedalmost 70 less people than last year at this time. Wow, how generous our parishioners are.

Over $1000.00 went into our checking account. Thanks to all who helped make this a success. Ournext pancake breakfast will be November 13th. Please fellow Knights, come volunteer to helpmake this another success. The Ladies Auxiliary will also have their Crafts & Bake Goods Sale atthe 5:00PM, 8:30 & 10:30AM Masses this weekend. Be sure to support their biggest fund raiser.
