Mineral Resource Engineering Program

Student Information Summary

The Dalhousie Mineral Resource Engineering Student Society has compiled the ‘Student

Information Summary’ to provide Mineral Resource Industry potential employers a ‘quick’

information source on students currently studying Mineral Resource Engineering at Dalhousie

University. In addition to this summary, each student has a detailed resume that is available

upon request. Employers are encouraged to contact students listed in the Student Information

Summary through the contact information provided by each student in this document.

Students entering the Dalhousie University Mineral Resource Engineering (MRE) Program have

achieved an Engineering Diploma from one of 7 ‘associated universities’ in Atlantic Canada. The

MRE Program comprises a two year program of studies dedicated to teaching courses required

for graduates to enter the Mineral Resource Industry as an Engineer-In-Training.

Students in this document are listed according to their year of study. Students entering the 3rd

year can enroll in the Co-op Engineering Program which requires successful completion of 3 (4

month) Work Term placements. Alternatively, students entering 3rd year can elect to complete

their MRE Program with 1 (4 month) Work Term.
