Piedmont High School Assessment Data Snapshot
Piedmont High School’s EOC composites scores are as follows: English 2-77.7%, Math 1-62.3%, Biology-76.7%. Overall, our ACT Workkeys scores improved drastically during the 2015-16 school year. 80.5% of our Workkeys testers scored silver and above. In addition, our four-year cohort graduation rate exceeded 95% for the first time in school history (95.4%). 76% of 11th graders scored 17 or higher on the March ACT. In September of 2016 Piedmont High School was graded as an A+ school according to the Ready Accountability Model. Our student growth index was in excess of 10. The senior class of 2016 earned over 27 million dollars in scholarships. Below you will find several indicators from the 2015-16 UCPS Parent Survey.
1. 91.7% of respondents believe the work assigned to their students is challenging. 2. 87.4% of respondents feel their child is safe at school. 3. 85.5% of respondents acknowledge they are kept up-to-date with their child’s academic progress.

1. 89.3% of respondents state they have a positive relationship with at least one teacher. 2. 88.4% of respondents state they use a computer on a regular basis. 3. 87.2% of respondents state they understand the school rules and consequences.

Piedmont High School Profile
Piedmont High School serves all students regardless of their background or academic ability. Currently, Piedmont High School has approximately 1380 students enrolled. In addition, every teacher and student has access to a laptop and each classroom has been unfitted with Smart Board technology or an interactive panel. Piedmont High School has four (4) Classrooms of Tomorrow within our Career and Technical Education Department. Piedmont High School has three academies (Public Safety, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Film Production). 100% of the teachers at Piedmont High School are highly qualified in their subject area. We have 16 National Board Certified teachers and 25% of our teaching staff holds an advanced degree. In addition, our teacher turnover rate is below 10%. Piedmont is very involved in community events with over 20 student clubs or organizations that allows our students and staff members to take part in many service opportunities.
