Through our reputation and superior quality we are now a trusted supplier for leading mining companies, providing safety access systems globally to companies such as Rio Tinto. Our international agents located in America have created a large marketing presence in the USA, Canada and South America where we have recently concluded a deal of fitting an entire Utah mines fleet with our innovative access systems. We are currently investing in research and development processes to further advance the capabilities of our current product range. This growth has been partly due to our attendance at a number of industry specific, international trade show/events where we have seen a significant increase in a variety of channels; increased overseas orders, enquires, quotes and a growth in our recurring customer database. Each event we attended has led to an increase in these measurable objectives by more than 60%, beginning in just the last 10 months.

AOM Group Pty LtdThe Australian Organic Meats Group was formed in 2011 to facilitate expansion of the supply of organic beef in response to rapidly expanding international customer demand. It became apparent to the directors, both of whom are founders of the Australian organic industry that the Australian beef sector was not responding adequately to global organic market signals. With encouragement from key US and Asian customers, the AOM Group was formed, and launched into a rapid 5 year expansion program. Years 1-4 have seen a steep growth phase with annual sales growth between 50-75%. We are committed to encouraging the best environmental stewardship and ensuring our farmers are rewarded through fair returns. This is achieved by fair prices for our export customers set in a direct and transparent way. It is very exciting to bring international clients to the table to work openly with organic beef producers. This gives a culture of achievement, recognition, ethical business, and allows our farmers to confidently build successful businesses and succession plans. We are passionate about changing Australian agriculture one farm at a time. The AOM Group supply chain is an example of a new style of agribusiness characterised by farmers directly managing and communicating with end users in a cyber connected world.

AustraBlend Pty LtdMichael Farrar, the proprietor of the companies AustraHort Pty Limited and AustraBlend Pty Ltd has been travelling to the Middle East since 1975, first selling Australian frozen and chilled meats and offal to countries of the region and since 1981, in the name of AustraHort, selling horticultural seeds including tree, shrub, grass and flower seeds. Being aware of the acute regional water shortage and the high reliance on imported foods and other inputs, ten years ago we began our search for a means of water conservation that would permit economically sustainable food production and contribute to the regions improved food security. This search and enquiry initially focused on nutrient sources derived from by-products of sugar production however, we ultimately found, after considerable time and expense including living in the region for seven months, that the extreme weather conditions dissipated the nutrients and benefits of our product very quickly thus rendering it uneconomic. In 2009 we began focussing on ‘permanence’ which led us to what has become the product AustraBlend®Multi Mineral Soil Conditioner, an organic mineral clay mined in Queensland possessed of many attributes including a high levels of permanence in the environment, high Catiron exchange counts, valuable trace elements and a very good water holding capacity all essential elements to health plant growth.

Blast Movement TechnologiesBlast Movement Technologies (BMT) provides a unique solution to mines worldwide. Our core business is built around our patented method of measuring the movement of rock that occurs during blasting. Mines need to know where the ore zones are after blasting. Getting it wrong will literally throw away millions of dollars profit per mine per year. Not only have we created unique technology, we have sparked what is arguably an emerging discipline in the global mining industry. BMT spans manufacturing, R&D, consulting, training and software development. Our market has been global from the beginning and growing quickly. BMT has achieved ~50% sales growth year-on-year and much of this is driven by sourcing new international customers. - Export revenue increased from $5.5mil to $9.0mil during FY15 (63% growth) - In FY15, 77% of revenue derived from exports. Our marketing strategy to date has concentrated on awareness and education to grow our customer-base; primary channels being word-of-mouth, website, conference papers, tradeshows, and strategic relationships. We currently service the world from Brisbane but believe exports will increase with local representation in strategic locations and have begun implementation. The effectiveness of our sales and marketing is indicated by (last year): - Revenue up 63%, despite the global downturn in mining - New customers up 26% - 97% Customer retention BMT has no geographic boundaries. Our flexible and mobile team can provide services to mines in all corners of the globe, exporting to 28 countries to date. To maintain growth we plan to increase staffing from eight to eleven this year.

We took 15-months to explore what could be, which customer we could serve, what problems she had and the value we could offer. After 300 interviews globally, we crystallised our company purpose; the world is beautiful, we believe in connecting people with outside. We built four production plants; Birmingham (UK), Chicago (US), another plant in Nanjing (CN) and transformed Brisbane into a pilot facility alongside our R&D centre. We failed our first product design attempt scrapping 498 sets of tooling and accompanying inventory. We cut another 1500 tools, installed 14 CNC machines, lodged 12 Patent and Design applications totalling over 300,000 hours, winning Australian, English and German product design awards. A year after product launch, US and UK plants are running triple shifts. New business model sales are growing 45% compounding quarterly, currently all overseas, and solely because of Design-Led Strategy.

Four Cow Farm Pty LtdFour Cow Farm began as a family’s reaction to a case of infant eczema and a mother’s disatisfaction with big-name products. A basic need created a successful business now exporting its 100% natural and organic skincare to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, U.A.E. and U.S.A. The words “Made in Australia” add unrivalled value to a brand in the field of natural and organic products, and this is what we have taken full advantage of. Today, we have a range of Australian made natural skincare products aimed specifically at infants and mothers. We emphasise the pure, natural qualities of our beautiful regional location, nestled in the Maleny hinterland. In May 2015, Four Cow Farm was certified as an organic producer by ACO, adding more value and credibility to the Four Cow Farm brand. Four Cow Farm began with export as our prime objective for two simple reasons: first, we understood South East Asia and, second, we recognised the demand for natural and organic products from young, high-income families in our target export markets as being more developed than in (what was then) an unfamiliar domestic market. Only later did we begin to understand how exporting businesses were valued and supported; such support

provides further impetus to our latest initiatives as we begin to enter “the big three”: South Korea, Japan, and China. Four Cow Farm is determined to become a global Australian business.

KnotwoodKnotwood is a privately-owned and award winning manufacturer of premium, Australian made, aluminium systems that look like wood. Established in 2009 by directors Darren Galway and Alan Divall, the high demand for a product that looked like timber but performed like aluminium led to explosive growth in Australia and the first International sale in 2010. Primarily supplying the construction and home-renovation industries, Knotwood has only seen year-on-year growth in its export markets. After only 6 short years Knotwood has become the largest exporter of wood-grain

aluminium systems in Australia. Following the dream of becoming a global leader in the wood-grain aluminium industry, Knotwood has positioned itself to take the world by storm. A specialized marketing strategy that utilizes a unique but very subtle two-pronged strategy coupled with a highly innovative product has led to increasing success in very competitive markets like the USA and UK. With new distributors all over the world, including South Africa, the Dutch Caribbean, The Bahamas, Canada and New Zealand and many others expressing interest in becoming distributors in the very near future, Knotwood has had to double its production capacity in the last 3 months to meet the insane demand for its coveted products.

LIST Premier Education Pty LtdList Premier Education Pty Ltd is a world leader in developing Industry Recognized Training and Educational Programs presented on an Interactive Touch Board, in a classroom situation, facilitated by a certified trainer or teacher. In many countries schools have been moving away from the traditional classroom approach to a model where autonomy in the class has been handed to the students using digital applications. This approach has the effect that the education standards are lowered. At the same time students are used to graphic and animated exposure. In this challenging situation List Premier has found a way to bridge these problems by using and combining the traditional classroom approach with modern technology (Interactive Touch Boards and animated software), where the teacher is still in control of the classroom, setting the goals based on the animated and graphic content. List Premier achieves this outcome through learner centred, but teacher-driven education where the focus is on optimizing function, ability, well-being, productivity, talent, face to face communication, and the opportunity to boost learning as a life style process. List Premier is successful in establishing thousands of franchised centres worldwide (especially China) and selling the Programs to public and private schools. List Premier has also designed programs to meet the curriculum needs of various Mining Groups, the Vocational Education and the Industry Training sector. Our Mine Safety Training programs, using the Interactive Touch Board approach, is being used to train thousands of mine workers in Indonesia, South Africa, China, and other countries. It is imperative to note that these interactive programs are not only about the transfer of knowledge. Capacity building is important to List Premier and the Mining and Industry sectors.

MC Global SolutionsMC Global Solutions started as a Brisbane based company which was selling and implementing a software product which was developed originally in the USA. We quickly grew our company in Brisbane to include software developers and implementation consultants, so that we could develop the software for the international market (outside of the USA). We expanded our company by registering our business in the United Kingdom in 2009 (at the start of the GFC). For the first few years we cycled staff from Brisbane into the UK to gain a foothold. We then employed some local full-time staff in the UK as a permanent local presence. Our developers have been working full-time on software development for Siemens in Portugal for the past 2 years in collaboration with our Brisbane based consultants who work directly with the customers in Europe. The software development has been very successful and we now have the potential opportunity to expand the systems throughout Europe. We are currently consulting, developing and implementing systems in Portugal for the Locomotive, Baggage Handling, Power Sub-stations and traffic light business units of Siemens.

In 2009 we exported our first beef to South Korea, 2010 saw MDH obtain Australia’s first registration to export to Brazil and the beginning of our relationship with Japan. This exciting diversification in our business is due to the vision of my late husband Zanda McDonald who passed away in 2013. He is my inspiration every day, and the inspiration behind this

application. You could say I am very proud of him!

Scalable Data Systems Pty LtdScalable, with a little over 30 years in the Australian ERP market, the Crew family business is acknowledged as a leading ERP vendor, and recognised as an established developer of value adding add-on AX ERP solutions covering areas like transport, payroll, shift/rostering management to name a few, evolving to our signature product the ‘Scalable Commodity’ solution. There have been many challenges in getting market acceptance for both Traders and Manufacturers around the AX and ERP sector generally, but after a long and slow start the momentum is growing. Scalable achieved a 63.7% growth in the FY14-15 period, and early indications are that these sales will double in FY2016.

Williamson ArchitectsWith an ever tightening market and the impression that larger architectural practices were dominating the Brisbane and Queensland market, WA made a conscious decision to pursue opportunities interstate and off shore through the international architectural design forum. The general intent was to firstly gain experience and stimulate commercially weary creative brains within in our office. The second was to gain passive recognition by using the various entries as examples of unbuilt work to pad out our company website and resume. The third was to be placed or commended on a competition entry, which could possibly lead to the opportunity to compete in selected competition with fewer players and therefore a better chance of success. The forth was to win a competition, get a real overseas project and capitalise quickly on that success. As it turned out we were placed 3rd in the Shuter competition, (there was no 1st place awarded). That was out 7th competition entry and one that we collectively felt was worthy of 1st place. With the odds stacked against us, and what turned out to be considerable competition from larger foreign architects we set off on an 18-month long campaign to convince them otherwise, and we succeeded.
