1 Samuel 17:2-9

GREETING FROM NORTH AMERICA GENERAL PRESBYTER

Blessed greetings to all,

The Church of God of Prophecy has certain distinctives which we hold dear; one of which, is our sense of “family.” Throughout this convention, many will share a meal with friends. Talk and laughter will be heard in the hallways. Voices will be united in prayer, worship and song. You will feast on the Word, talk of all His wondrous works and learn from one another. Vision and priorities will be shared and the business of the Church will be enriched by joint participation so that at the conclusion of this time together, you will leave encouraged, energized, and focused on a common cause.

The one thing that will set this convention apart from other gatherings will be those unrehearsed, unscripted, undeniable breakthroughs of the Holy Spirit. I am confident that God has a fresh Word, a transforming touch and a compelling challenge waiting just for you.

As you lift your voices in praise to God, consider it a precursor to a future gathering in which ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation will be saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing (Revelation 5:9-12).

Serving together,

Tim CoalterNorth America General Presbyter

GREETING FROM PRESIDINGBISHOP OF TENNESSEE

It is with great joy that we welcome you to the 2015 Tennessee State Convention. There has been a certain sense of excitement about the convention returning to Cleveland, the site of so many conventions over the last 100 years. Our state staff has worked diligently to prepare a balanced program that will minister to the needs of the whole family.

During a time of intensive intercession I believe the Lord gave me the theme for this year’s gathering. “Is there not a cause?” This question was first asked by a shepherd boy who became indignant at the thought that no one would respond to the threats and mockery of a pagan philistine directed against God’s people. In this shepherd boy’s mind, an attack against God’s people was an attack towards God as well. In his mind there was a cause greater than the fear in the people’s hearts.

Without a doubt, we are living in the last days. We are living in a time that tries men’s souls. It seems as if the world is upside down and the church in many instances is not much better. However, is there not a cause? Is there not something greater than all of us?

I contend that there is a cause, and hopefully we will discover it and embrace it during these next few days.

God bless you.
