2015-2016 Agreement of Pad Rules Restrictions: The use of the driving pad is a privilege to speed skaters granted by the Tampa Police Department on temporary bases and can be revoked or suspended at any time for any reason by any police officer on or off duty. Priority is always given to academy operations and does not require advance notice to speed skaters or teams. The Academy/driving pad is under 24hr recorded video surveillance. Skater responsibilities: You MUST sign this liability waiver form BEFORE any activity on the pad. Persons 17 and under must have the waiver signed by their parent or guardian. You MUST exercise with care and safety in mind. If you don’t think an activity is safe, it isn’t. The facility is used by speed skaters for “athletic purposes only.” You MUST pick up after yourself to help ensure the cleanliness of the driving pad. (Water bottles, trash, etc… must be picked up) You MUST stay in the driving pad area unless you have to use the restrooms which are located in the classroom area of the academy. Skater is to use the restrooms and return to the pad. The speed skating liaison is identified by a Volunteer card. They are here to ensure safety and the proper use of the facility. Unless there is a skating liaison present skaters cannot be on the property. A skating liaison may ask an individual to leave the property if the individual is unsafe or is not using the facilities properly. I acknowledge the rules of this agreement and accept the responsibility for use of the Tampa Police Department’s Driving Pad.
