Class 1 Lead Rein Jumping – Kindly sponsored by Discover Chiropractic Edinburgh Small cross poles. First round with pony and rider, second timed round over shortened course on foot by rider only. Genuine lead reins only please. Pony/rider combination riding in the lead rein class are not eligible for class 3 onward.

10:30am Clear Round Jumping – Kindly sponsored by Young Family Jumps max 50 cm. Rosettes for all clear round winners.

Class 2 Novice A5 restricted – Kindly sponsored by Citidogs Jumps approx 40 cm. If first round clear, immediate second timed round. Rider aged under 10 years (as at 1/1/15) OR genuine novice combination never to have been placed 1st or 2nd in any jumping competition.

Class 3 Novice A5 unrestricted – Kindly sponsored by Colin Nixon Autosafe Jumps approx 55 cm. If first round clear, immediate second timed round. Rider any age but never to have been placed 1st or 2nd in any jumping competition.

Class 4 Ride and Make your Parent Run! – Kindly sponsored by Cut & Cake Jumps approx 40 cm. Competitor jumping first half of the course on their pony, then a parent takes over and jumps the remaining shortened course on foot. Both rounds timed.

Class 5 Ride and Run – Kindly sponsored by Equikro Jumps approx 50 cm. Jumping first on pony, then dismount and jump a shortened course on foot. Both rounds timed.

Class 6 Mini Major – Kindly sponsored by Iain Marshall Farrier Jumps 1-6 (max 50 cm) ridden by the mini, then the major takes over and completes jumps 7 – 12 (max 70 cm). Pairs, one 12 or under, one over 12, either enter as a pair or you can be drawn a partner on the day.

Class 7 Intermediate A5 – Kindly sponsored by Westmill Construction Jumps approx max 85 cm. If first round clear, immediate second timed round, see rules on page 4.

Class 8 Top Score/Accumulator for the W. Aitchison Memorial Perpetual Trophy – Kindly sponsored by Craneware Fences vary in height, rider to make up their own course with one minute in which to accumulate maximum points.

Class 9 Open A5 – Kindly sponsored by Happy Rug Wash Jumps approx. 90 cm to 1m. Open to all horses and ponies. If first round clear, immediate second timed round, see rules on page 4.

End of show Championship presentation for The W. Aitchison Memorial Liberton Trophy – Kindly sponsored by Central Equine Vets awarded to the senior and junior members of Edinburgh Pony Club who accumulate the highest number of points from any three classes entered, taken between classes 2 to 9 – NO ENTRY FEE REQUIRE see page 4 for rules. Prize for both Junior and Senior winners – 30 min private lesson with David Harland at Stobbs.

4 Rules and information1. Classes are open to both Pony Club members and non-members and open to all ages unless

otherwise stated.

2. Age is that as on 1st January 2015

3. Prizes: Rosettes will be awarded from 1st to 6th in each class. Winners awarded trophies.

4. Two Phase Show Jumping Rules (A5) – Competitors jump only one round. Those who jump clear over the first part of the course (not against the clock), remain in the ring and carry on round the rest of the course which will be against the clock (timing will start automatically). If the bell rings after the first part of the course, you have not gone clear and must leave the arena.

5. Mini-Major – in the event of an in-equality of competitors from each age group (12yrs or under and over 12yrs) remaining competitors will be paired within their age group.

6. The W. Aitchison Memorial Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the winner of Class 8, Top Score.

7. The W. Aitchison Memorial Liberton Trophy will be awarded to the member of Edinburgh Pony Club who accumulates the highest number of points from any three classes from classes 2 to 9, only one rider/pony combination will be counted on the day, no mixed scores. Points will be awarded as follows:

1st place 2nd place 3rd place 4th place 5th place 6th place

8. No horse or pony may compete more than once in any one class and must be at least five years old.

9. All riders who are not members of the Pony Club must have insurance up to a minimum of third party liability.

10. All hats must conform to Pony Club standards and be tagged. Please bring your hat for checking when you collect your number. Standards include PAS015:1998 or 2011, BS EN 1384:1996, 1997 or 2012 or EN1384:1996, 1997 or 2012 all with CE and BSI kitemark, or Snell E2001 with the official Snell label and number. Full details on Pony Club website. Hats must be worn with chinstrap correctly fitted at all times whilst mounted.

Happy Horse Rug Wash picks up and drops off at your place of choice covering central Scotland.

Rugs are washed, dried in a heated room on industrial racks so no shrinkage or discolour occurs. When dry they are then bagged in clear bags for easy identification and storage until the next use. 6 DirectionsHead from Edinburgh on the M8 towards Glasgow, take junction 4 onto the A801 towards Bathgate/Whitburn/Falkirk. Continue through three roundabouts staying on the A801. At the fourth roundabout follow the second exit continuing on the A801 and a little along this road keep right onto the A706. Turn right onto the B792 towards Torphichen and look out for the entrance on your right hand side. Follow the show stewards directions to the competitor parking.

The Edinburgh Pony Club is a small and friendly branch with a very active membership. Our members are dedicated young riders of varied abilities, who are keen to have fun while they train and compete, safely and successfully. Club communication gives member access to local competition schedules and shared transport. With our small training groups atour rallies, all members get a huge amount of support and all are given the opportunity to participate in team events. All the standards are catered for, from lead rein to regional qualifiers. Come and join our club!

Annual subscription is £70. Family membership, where there are more than 2 Members in one family, is charged at £175.00 regardless of the number of children in the family.

* The subscription normally covers the period February 1st. 2015 to January 31st. 2016. However, new Members joining for the first time between September 1st 2015 and January 31st 2016, and paying the 2015 subscription rate will be entitled to Membership until January 31st. 2017, thats an extra 5 months free!

Lapsed Members rejoining between September 1st. 2015 and January 31st. 2016 will pay the Special Lapsed Membership Subscription of £93 (£232 for family membership), which covers them until January 31st. 2017.
