INTRODUCTIONThe Ministers' Salary Survey is an ongoing service of the Siburt Institute for Church Ministry at Abilene Christian Universi-ty. The Siburt Institute is named in honor of the late Dr. Charles Siburt, who initiated the annual survey in 2004 as one of his many efforts to build congregations and their leaders. The survey compares minister compensation packages, including allowances and benefits, as well as provides details on such things as the number of years in ministry, educa-tional background and experiences, and various other factors.

The survey is administered at the beginning of the year and requests salary information for the same year. This enables the report to provide current information for elders, ministers, and other members of the Churches of Christ as they seek to better understand up-to-date ministry salary data and use market norms to influence decision-making.

The report begins by looking at an overview of survey respondents, before walking through each minister type individually. The report concludes with an analysis of the key predictors influencing 2015 minister salaries that seeks to aid administrators and ministers in understanding the landscape of 2015 minister salaries.

For the purpose of this report, ministers have been divided into 14 categories:

3

Please note the following definitions, as these terms are used throughout the report.- N refers to the number of people who responded to a given question. In some cases the n may vary from chart to chart,

as not all respondents answered every survey question.- Range is calculated by subtracting the minimum from the maximum.
