I am Kayla Harris Fontaine. I am a proud Trojan hailing from Virginia State University, where I am a senior Mass Communications major. I am from Capitol Heights, Maryland where I live with my loving mother and grandmother. I am a product of strength, courage, and adversity. I am bubbly, positive, ambitious, and an overall uniquely created individual. My strongest belief is that everything happens for a reason, and I believe that I am placed here to give back to a community who has given me so much. After I graduate I plan to attend graduate school at Bowie State University to earn my masters in Organizational Communications. I also plan on starting a mentorship organization called “Project D.R.E.A.M.S” which will be an organization that teaches kids leadership skills, self-esteem, and self- acceptance through the performing arts. My ultimate goal is to become a radio personality in the Washington, D.C area and using that platform to give back.
