Now in its fourth year, the Elite Traveler Top 100 Restaurants in the World awards provokes a huge amount of global interest. The awards reached more than 100 million people in 2014 through extensive global PR coverage and were viewed online at EliteTraveler.com more than 13 million times over the past 12 months.

This year, the awards will be launched on March 31st 2015 online and as a 13 page dedicated feature in the May/June edition of the magazine. The feature will include interviews with the world’s greatest chefs and leading industry figures such as Alinea’s Grant Achatz.

To celebrate its fifth year, Elite Traveler Top 100 Restaurants in the World awards will be hosting a glamorous awards evening in March 2016. This event will host some of the world’s leading chefs and culinary greats. This exclusive awards ceremony will take place at one of the top restaurants in the world and will be covered at length within Elite Traveler magazine and elitetraveler.com

Winners will be presented with their award by a high profile Elite Traveler representative.

Each year Elite Traveler readers are polled for their favorite restaurants, producing a top 100 list driven by the votes of paying customers. In 2014 there were 3,000 votes from readers and in 2015 we are expecting 4,000 votes.

In 2015 readers were asked to vote on their favorite restaurants, chefs, young chefs and which culinary maestro deserves the lifetime Elite Traveler achievement award.

With the average Elite Traveler reader taking 41 private jet trips a year, making an impact on these readers clearly resonates with some of the world’s leading chefs.

March 31st 2015The Elite Traveler Top 100 Restaurants are launched via a live social media countdown from 100-1. The headline sponsor will be included in each tweet, alongside an agreed hash tag #. The awards will be live on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. March 31st 2015Once the 100-1 is announced the Chef of the Year, Young Chef of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards will be announced live on social media. Interesting infographics and insightful interviews and analysis from industry leaders, winning chefs and multi-millionaire voters will be live on the new Elite Traveler Top 100 Restaurants in the World section of the website. March 31st 2015Press releases will be sent to news desks, food and travel writers across the world. There will be an overall press release and a press release to each individual city.

March 31st 2015An email with the associated Elite Traveler Top 100 logo and branding guidelines will be sent to the winning restaurants, chefs and PR representatives. This logo will be used on the restaurants and chefs websites, social media accounts and press releases.

March 31st – April 7th 2015Daily PR interviews will take place on television, radio, web and in print. The majority of these will continue over the first week. Other indirect coverage will come out over the next 12 months.

March 31st 2015 – March 30th 2016Throughout the entire year website traffic will continue to visit the awards and the subsequent guides.
