Why we administer the annual survey

The Climate and Satisfaction Survey invites all staff and families, as well as students in grades 5 through 12 to respond to an online questionnaire about their schools:

• Alignment with District Accountability Plan Priority 3• Understand what members of our school community think

about the learning environment in our schools. • Initiate data-based conversations among all members of the

school community to transform current practices on behalf of our students.

Observations / Implications• Participation

– Since adopting the new vendor in 2013, participation has improved. Paper-based and online surveys were used for the 2014-15 administration for families and non-technical staff.

–Participation increased 10% for both groups

• Observations– Student responses trend lower than families and staff

– Students, Families and Staff report highest satisfaction with Academics, Teaching and Learning
