When I arrived at ELS Atlanta, the first thing that I noticed was the quality in all the things around me. The administrative employees and the professors want the best for you, and they show interest in your learning. Also, you can know people from other parts of the world and learn about their culture. This is an amazing experience and I’m so happy to be here.
Carolina, Colombia ELS/Atlanta Student
STUDENTS AND PARENTS ALL AGREE:
In the past, I thought I would never go to another country but I have changed my mind! Earning a PhD in nursing is my future goal. Therefore, I decided to study abroad in the US. Today, I am happy to be learning a new language and new culture at ELS Cincinnati.
I am very proud to say, ELS taught me to improve my speaking, reading, listening, and writing in the English language. Recently, I had an interview with the UC graduate committee’s program. I had to integrate every skill that all teachers at ELS taught me for this interview. I understood and answered every question with thorough answers because I integrated my skills from Structure and Speaking Practice class and vocabulary class to introduce myself and my project proposal.
Bootsakon, Thailand ELS/Cincinnati Student
“If you can dream it you can do it” – Walt Disney. What began as an adventure ended becoming one of the best experiences of my life. In ELS, I found friends for all over the world with great personalities and diversity of cultures, but also, I had the pleasure of meeting amazing teachers and the entire staff of ELS, people who I personally admire. Furthermore, living in homestay I found a second family away from home that makes my everyday experience in USA remarkable. It is just unbelievable how ELS program is so effective. Thanks to ELS, I will continue making my dreams true.
Orianna, Venezuela ELS/New Haven
Our family really appreciates the fact that Ashkhen has been provided with a great learning experience at the Garden City ELS center at Adelphi University. We are very impressed with the progress she made over the past eight months. Never before was she able to tell stories, make jokes, understand the language of movies and TV programs in English, and even enjoy reading books written by English and American authors. The width and depth of knowledge she is getting makes our conversations about some aspects of English very interesting and educational. In addition, she developed a great deal of appreciation for diversity. Her entire experience here makes our family happy, and we would like to express our gratitude to her masterful teachers and effective administrators.

ELS WORKS.
When, I graduated from ELS, all of my instructors kept in touch with me and they came to attend my graduation ceremony to encourage me and push me to work harder. Therefore, I encourage everyone who would like to study abroad to come to ELS at Greenville to study English language program before going to any university to improve his or her skills in writing, speaking and listening. I am so proud of all ELS Greenville staff and I am so proud of my great university, which is Clemson University.
Wesam Al-Jeddawi, Saudi Arabia Graduated from ELS/Clemson-Greenville Clemson University Student
My time at ELS Dallas was definitively one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I got to meet people coming from places I did not even know, to discover new places, new customs and cultures, and all of this under the guidance of the school. My teachers have always been great, and patient with me, even when I used to make mistakes that I was not aware of. Now, I’m a full time college student, but every once in a while I stop by my ELS school to do my homework because I feel comfortable working there.
Stephen, Gabon Graduated from ELS/Dallas The University of Texas at Dallas Student
One of the main things that attracted me to ELS in Washington DC was that it offers students a variety of cultural and social activities. Many of these student activities are not only free but also a fun way to help students improve their English. ELS was an amazing experience and a great place for me to make friends from around the world and open my horizons.
Today, through my ELS certificate, I am a sophomore, majoring in International Affairs at James Madison University in Virginia. I highly recommend ELS to all foreign students who want to improve their English and enter American universities.
Izel, Turkey Graduated from ELS/Washington, D.C. James Madison University Student
The work we do with our students preparing them for university study is such a rewarding experience. Witnessing their growth and confidence in using English provides so much motivation for us as teachers. The satisfaction gained from working with our students can only be matched by the joy that comes when they return to ELS full of smiles with their diplomas in hand, thanking you for helping them to achieve what they thought was once beyond their dreams.

The 12 levels build upon one another with the foundation of skills learned at lower levels providing support as the levels increase in complexity.
At the end of each 4-week session, students successfully meeting the requirements for their level move up and immediately begin the new session.
As you move up through the levels, more opportunities become available – either through more challenging ELS courses, or through higher education options.

WELCOME TO OUR CENTERS
While living in South Korea, many Koreans were
willing to help me get acquainted with the language,
the culture and the country. As the Center Director
in Ruston, I show the same kindness to each of our
students. My door is always open to students who
need some help or just want to say Hi. My goal is for
our students to feel happy and safe. My job is to make
our students feel welcomed and appreciated. I love
my job. I love that every day I get to help students
make their dreams come true. I’ll even help you get
that pizza delivered. :)
Welcome to Ruston. We’re excited you’re coming.

Because every student has his or her own needs and
preferences, we offer a variety of living accommodations to
ensure that you are comfortable, safe and feel at home.
Student Residence
Most ELS locations on university campuses offer living
accommodations either on campus or near the ELS Center,
making it easy for you to interact with other students and truly
experience campus life.
Student residence life allows for many eye-opening
experiences; you will find you have much in common with
your new international friends as you practice your growing
English skills and share your own cultural customs and points
of view.
Homestays
All ELS Centers offer homestay accommodations with an
English-speaking host family. ELS host families are carefully
selected to ensure that they provide a pleasant and safe “home
away from home” for their student guests. Some students find
that living with a host family can help them learn English faster,
while experiencing American customs and culture firsthand.
Homestay students often develop cherished relationships with
their hosts that can last a lifetime.
Apartment Housing
If you prefer a more independent lifestyle, you may want to
live in an apartment near your ELS Center. Apartment costs
and conditions vary widely depending on the location.
Some ELS locations have special relationships with local
apartment providers that welcome ELS students, families,
married couples or executive clients.
Your local ELS Counselor can provide you with detailed
information on housing options.
