League Fees are to be paid to your organization directly. Please do not pay the league.

Rosters are due in Pointstreak by Sept 1 for Midgets, Bantam Major and 19U and 16U Girls only.

5.1 Player registration should be given to your Organization Director according to their process for collecting these player registrations. Please do not send directly to the League. Your organization will send to all together by Sept 1.

Pick up helmet stickers & game sheets from your Organization Director.

Academic Program information due Feb 1. Please ask your Organization Director the process of how they will collect the information.

Program information for 19U Girls, 16U Girls, U18, U16 and Bantam Major by 9/1/2015. The form has already been sent out.

Pointstreak entry of local home games Aug 11 – Aug 16. This is only local home games only. If you are unsure how many home games you should be scheduling, please see your organization Director. If you make a mistake, enter the correct game and send the incorrect game to be deleted to [email protected].

Length of Games.

1) Boys U16 Minor Midget and U18 Major Midget Games:

a) League Showcase Games: All Showcase Games shall be 17 minute stop-time periods with a five (5) minute pre-game warm-up. This section applies to all HPHL Showcase Games.

b) Local League Games: For HPHL Local League Games all HPHL midget games will be 17 minute stop-time periods with a five (5) minute pre-game warm up.

c) If the game is ties at the end of regulation play, the following Shoot Out Procedure will apply:

i) Three different shooters from each team will take alternate shots, the team with the advantage in goals scored will be deemed the winner.ii) If the game is still tied after three shots by each team there will be a sudden death shoot out which will continue in this manner until one team has scored the advantage in goals.iii) After the first 3 shooters, the same or new players can take the tie-break shots. The same player can also be used for each shot by a team in the tie-break shoot-out.iv) Only the decisive goal will count in the results.v) Shots will be taken at both ends of the ice.vi) The home team will chose whether to shoot first or second.vii) Any player whose penalty was not over when overtime ended cannot take the shots and must stay in the penalty box.viii) The goalkeepers will defend the same goal, as determined by the Referee.ix) The players of both teams will take the shots alternately.

x) The team winning the Shoot Out Procedure receives two points and the other team receives one point for the game.

xi) League games do not curfew.

2) Boys U14 Bantam and Younger Games:

a) League Showcase Games: All HPHL U14 Bantam and younger showcase games shall be 15 minute stop-time periods with a three (3) minute pre-game warm-up. This section applies to all HPHL games.

b) Local League Games: For HPHL Local League Games all HPHL bantam and younger games will be 15 minute stop-time periods with a three (3) minute pre-game warm up.

3) Girls’ 19U, 16U 14U, and 12U Games:

League and Showcase Games: All HPHL Girls’ 19U, 16U and 14U games shall be 15 minute stop-time periods with a three (3) minute pre-game warm-up.

4) Ice Resurfacing between Periods:

Ice resurfacing shall take place immediately after the first whistle after ten (10) minutes remaining in the second period in all HPHL Midget Showcase and local games. All local and League games at the Boys Bantam, Boys PeeWee, Boys Squirt, and all Girls levels shall have an ice cut after the second period.

5) Rest Time between Periods:

Rest time between periods shall be one minute. In all HPHL games, at the end of each period of play in which a between-period ice resurfacing is not to take place, the timekeeper shall immediately run one minute (1:00) on the game clock and the next period shall begin immediately thereafter.

 

The HPHL regular season shall begin on September 1st of each year. Local League games for non playoff levels will be completed by February 15th. If playoffs are scheduled, all games must be completed and posted in Pointstreak by Sunday prior to the playoffs. The format and locations for the playoffs shall be determined by the Board of Directors no later than the 15th of June each year.

All local and showcase games, including those played against guest teams will count in the standings.

Schedules are posted on Pointstreak and updated there as well. Please check often to see any changes to the schedule.

Very important – There is the a financial penalty per trip each time you do not use the travel program for any league related trip. All trips are tracked by showcase.

Teams – Use the travel form on the www.hphl.us website. Accuracy is critical when requesting rooms Please notify Jill of any cancellations or date changes first Choose a hotel off the list and submit a request for each trip. A

contract will be returned to you from the hotel. Hotel conduct is a representation of our league. The highest code

of conduct will be expected of all teams/parents when traveling. The hotel list is posted online at www.hphl.us. Under the

Rinks/Hotels tab.

Managers are responsible for scoring all HOME games for both local and showcase games.

Showcase hosts are responsible for entering games where teams outside of the HPHL play each other.

Pointstreak logins have been issued to managers to enter your HOME game sheets as well as your rosters (Midgets, Bantam Major, 19U & 16U Girls only)

If you do not have a login, please email Jill Hare asap. ALL games should be entered LIVE . If you do not have a

scoring application, email pointstreak support at [email protected]. The application is only able to be used on one computer. You can score the game live with this application. In the case where the game cannot be scored live, the game must be entered within 24 hours of the game being played.

Goalie stats MUST be kept for all levels where individual stats are posted.

Game Misconducts must be noted and time served listed in the game notes.

Statistics are kept for Midgets, Bantam Major and 19U & 16U girls.

All stat changes are to be sent to Jill Hare by the Manager or the Coach. We do not make parent stat changes.

It is recommended to have someone independent keeping stats while the game is going on and any corrections should be made before the ref signs off on the game sheet.

If the corrections need to be made, please send to Jill Hare at [email protected].

If you are the manager and you changing your own players stats, you must copy the coach.

Midgets , Bantam Major and 19U & 16U Girls should have their profiles uploaded into Pointstreak by Sept 15. Pointstreak rosters are due Sept 1 into Pointstreak.

Program forms should be completed and sent to Jill Hare at [email protected] by Sept 1st. These forms have been sent out already to the 19U and 16U girls and Midget Major, Minor, Bantam Major teams.

All levels except 19U Girls will have Playoffs. Format: Ranked teams from the season; 1,3,5 play 2,4,6 1 game Fri 2 games Sat 2 Semi Sun 1 Championship Sun

Specific Playoff rules will be posted to the HPHL website.

“HPHL Challenge Cup” for the Top OrganizationCongratulations to the Chicago Mission Hockey Club

The 2014-2015 winner! Organizations will again have the opportunity to win “HPHL Challenge Cup” . The HPHL Organization with the highest points at the end of the year including playoffs will be awarded

the HPHL Challenge Traveling Cup to be kept with that organization for the year. After the regular season, we will award the following points to the team with the highest winning

percentage in each division:◦ 1st place – 3 points◦ 2nd place – 2 points◦ 3rd place – 1 point

No more than 6 points can be split among the teams in a division. All local and showcase games, including those played against guest teams will count in the standings. Teams who are tied get the remaining points split evenly After the playoffs, we will award the following 7 points per division to the teams based upon the finish:

◦ Champion – 3 points◦ Runner Up – 2 points◦ Semi Final Teams who did not make the Championship – 1 point each

Detroit will schedule refs from the original master schedule on August 25. After that all games will need to be scheduled via the Game Change form.

Chicago will schedule with IHOA as in the past.

After August 25, all changes (for all teams) to the schedule will need to go through the GAME CHANGE FORM on the website.

Scrimmage games for Detroit can be scheduled through the website by using the Referee Request Form. A confirmation email with the cost will be returned. Detroit will need to pay the refs at the game for all exhibition games.

For both the Game Change and the Referee Request form, you will receive and acknowledgement the request was received.

All communications can be found on the website.We recommend a “Communications Liaison” be assigned for each team so someone is responsible for sending in relevant information to be posted on the website along with pictures. Your team and its accomplishments is newsworthy.

Check the site often throughout the season for updates.When we make changes to the schedules etc…we will post on the website .
