Dear Students,

Thank you for all your hard work preparing for auditions this week. It was wonderful to hear and see all of you; thank you for sharing yourtalents with us.Weknow its easy to feel sad or discouraged when auditions dont turn out the way you had planned. If you have not been selected for the choir you wanted, please dont give up! It doesnt mean you have a bad voice, or thatwe dont like you, or that you should never sing again.Mr. Hawkinswould LOVE to help you polish your vocal skills in one ofhis other choirs and sincerely hopes to see you onhis class roles next year.

Our goal is to be transparent in our audition process so we have your score sheets and audition videos available upon request. The audition pool this year was extremely skilled and we suspect it will only become more competitive. If you were in an auditioned group but aren't now please continue to work hard to hone your skills.

If you have been selected for Sylvan Choir or Sylvan Singers, congratulations!We arelooking forward to a year full of great musical experiences with such positive, dedicated, and talented singers.

To our 2015-2016 Sylvan Singers, three quick FYIs:

1. You and your parent/guardian MUST attend the Sylvan Singers Informational Meeting on Tuesday May 12th atfrom 6-7pmin the WCW Choir room.

2. Our Tahoe Summer Camp dates are Sunday August 2nd-Friday August 7th. This camp is mandatory for all Sylvan Singers - please put these dates on your calendar now : )

3. The Tinntinabulist Tahoe Camp will be Tuesday September 29th-Friday October 2nd - again, this camp is mandatory for all Tinns and should go on your calendar now : )
