Welcome!Quiet Time is a special time that you set aside each day to read God’s Word to get to know Him better. It is also an important part of Olympians, a fun Bible centered program for kids just like you in grades 1-6! CHALLENGERS (GRADES 1, 2), CONQUERORS (GRADES 3, 4), and CHAMPIONS (GRADES 5, 6). Just like Olympic athletes train to be the very best they can be, your Olympian coaches will help train you to be the best you can be for Jesus!

The goal is to please Jesus in everything we say, do and think!

THAT IS WHAT OLYMPIANS

IS ALL ABOUT!

1

Olympians will be the highlight of your week!

Each Olympians meeting begins with a fantastic kick-off followed by fun songs, exciting games, a Bible lesson to help you grow, plus so much more!

Your Olympian Coach will help you learn about the Bible, answer your questions, pray for your needs and have a fun time with you as well!

Speaking of fun, wait until you see the Big O-vent game time! It is always a blast with lots of crazy games for you to enjoy!

On top of everything else, you will make some great friends at Olympians!

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:

You won’t want to miss out on the great times waiting for you at Olympians!

This Quiet Time is a great opportunity for you to have fun together with your child. Here are some tips to help your child with their Quiet Time.

4 Gather supplies needed for activities.

4 Sit down at a prescribed time each day.

4 Use the Bible to look up references together.

4 Talk through the activity and personal application.

4 Complete the week by documenting how many days were completed and writing an encouraging note.

Quiet Time is a special time that you set aside each day to read God’s Word to get to know Him better and to learn how He wants you to live. During this time, God speaks to you through His Holy Word the Bible and you speak to God through prayer. As a Christian, spending this time everyday is very important for you to grow closer to God.

The Quiet Time will help you have a special time each day with the Lord. This booklet is divided into two sections. A Personal Prayer Diary section where you can write prayer requests to remind yourself to pray for people that you care about and things that are happening. The second section is the Quiet Time Activity Pages. Activities are written from the Bible verses for each day of the year to challenge you to understand the truths from God’s Word.

The Quiet Time and the Teen/Adult Quiet Time use the same Scriptures for the week. This makes it easier for your whole family to discuss the passages together.

God loves you and wants to spend time with you!

YOUR DAILY QUIET TIME

1Weekly passages [ Proverbs 21:1–23:25 ]

PROVERBS 21:1-12

How does this proverb help me or inspire me to make a change in my life?

Pick one proverb out of these twelve and write it out here: “

.”

Now write it again in your own words:

Have you ever thought you were on the right path, only to find out you were going the wrong direction?

When you look at the name “PROVERBS”, you see that the first five letters spell

“PROVE”. The man who put these hundreds of proverbs (wise sayings) together

into a book was none other than King Solomon, the wisest king who ever lived. He

wanted to PROVE that God’s wisdom is better than man’s, and that if we live by

God’s truth-principles, we will be successful in our lives. We are going to have quiet

times from these passages in a style much like the TEEN Quiet Times you will be

doing in just a year or two. Let’s see how you do.

PROVERBS

23

Which of these body parts do I struggle with?

How can I use it positively instead of negatively?

See if you can find at least three parts of our bodies that God’s Word speaks about in today’s proverbs. List each part you find here, with the verse number where you found it, and what the proverb says about it:

BODY PART VERSE # WHAT THE PROVERB SAYS ABOUT IT

Pick out one proverb that stuck out to you today, and write it out here: “

.”

Now write it again in your own words:

What does this proverb say to me about a choice I need to make?

PROVERBS 21:13-22Wise, foolish, generous, just, righteous, wicked: it’s your choice!

PROVERBS 21:23-31What parts of your body do you think God wants you to guard and use for His glory?

24

PROVERBS 22:17-29

Do I have any friends who fit into the category of impatient or angry? YES NO

What kind of work ethic do I have at school and home? Do I usually (circle one):

JUST GET BY? DO SLOPPY WORK? TRY TO DO THE BEST I CAN? COMPLETE IT WITH EXCELLENCE?

How can I improve?

Verse 24 instructs us not to make friends or associate with what kind of person?

What kind of person will get an audience with kings and important people (v. 29)?

Making friends and working hard: two topics addressed in our proverbs today.

As you read through the proverbs for today, see how many times they speak about riches or wealth. How many references did you find?

What is more important to God than our being rich or wealthy?

What is more important to me than making money or being rich someday?

How can I keep my relationship with God number one?

PROVERBS 22:1-16Is it important to you to be rich someday?

25

Circle the things above that you want to see developed in your own life and ask God to develop them in you.

What four things should we want to get hold of and not sell or lose (v. 23)?

What two character traits will make a father or parent rejoice or be glad about their son/child?

Write out verse 17 here: “ .”

Pick one verse about eating and write it out here: “

.”

Do you think God cares about the way we eat? YES NO

What word picture does God use in verse 5 to describe the way money can “burn a hole in one’s pocket?”

Are there any poor eating or spending habits I need to change? If so, what?

PROVERBS 23:1-12How well do you do at controlling your appetite and your money?

PROVERBS 23:15-25Do you think your father and mother rejoice that you are a wise son or daughter, or do they worry about you and your decisions?
