hosted over 170 people on Thursday January 16th

. A

question period after the speech gave members the

opportunity to have their voice be heard. Members also got

the opportunity to meet the new City Manager Jim Toye.

Special thank you to the Travelodge catering staff which had everyone

plated in 11 minutes! That has to be a new record!

Spring is around the corner, and with it comes our Samuel McLeod

Business awards . The celebrated business awards will be kicked off

when we announce our business finalists at our Legacy Brunch on

March 20/2014, then on April 17/2014, we will celebrate business ex-

cellence with our Samuel McLeod Awards show. We are anticipating a

great awards show that incorporates several changes, including four

new award categories.

Our Annual Chairman's Nite is planned for Wednesday February

5th/2014. Come join the Chamber Board for a evening of celebration.

We will be swearing in our Chamber Board, which includes four new

Directors. Our Keynote speaker, Steve McLellan-CEO Saskatchewan

Chamber of Commerce will provide a update on “Saskatchewan's Busi-

ness climate”. We will also enjoy some great networking, Saskatche-

wan based cuisine , and some fundraising for SIAST Scholarships.
