SEATTLE—A SUPER CITYHome of the Super Bowl XLVIII Champion Seattle
Seahawks, this winning city can’t be beat. Extra-
ordinary natural beauty, a thriving tech sector, a
vibrant cultural community, and a world-class culinary
scene—make Seattle an irresistible place to live,
work, play, and visit.
Back in the Emerald City for the third time in six
years, Western Arts Alliance (WAA) 2014 will build
on all the great venues that made past Seattle
conferences so successful, while adding new locations
and twists. The Sheraton Seattle Hotel is perfectly
located right in the heart of Seattle’s lively central
business district and just up the street from the
Pike Place Market. A short walk in any direction
and you’ll find stunning views, popular performing
arts venues and clubs, eclectic dining, and excellent
shopping for that little something.

THE COMMONSThe Commons—WAA’s combination meeting, event,
and exhibit space—encourages discovery, conversation,
and connection. For 2014, the Commons features
180 exhibits, breakouts, and over 100 independent
showcases—all under one roof!
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTWe’ve got dozens of expert speakers, workshops,
panels, and roundtables led by the best and brightest
in the field. This year’s topics include managing artist
deals, fundraising, fostering equity and inclusion,
performance technology, and more. The 2014 program
includes three pre-conference workshops on Tuesday,
September 2.

Juried Showcases, Performance West, Independent

WAA’s 2014 Performance West program and Seattle’s
