2014 SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE SOCCER RECORD BOOK The Southeastern Conference has continued its rise as one of the top confer- ences in women’s soccer. The 2013 women’s soccer season reaffirmed the SEC’s prominence in the country. For the sixth time in the last seven seasons at least six SEC teams re- ceived postseason invitations as six teams from the SEC were invited to the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Texas A&M all made the 64-team field. The six teams combined for a record of 7-5-2 with each of the six teams advancing to the second round while Arkansas and Texas A&M advanced to the round of 16. The SEC now has a 68-77-14 (.472) NCAA Tournament record in 85 appearances. SEC women’s soccer will begin its 22nd season in the year of 2014 deeply rooted in the national scene of collegiate soccer. Since the SEC initiated wom- en’s soccer as a varsity sport in 1993, the sport’s popularity has grown through the country and especially in the Southeast. A defining point in the SEC’s women’s soccer success came in 1995 when FOX Sports South broadcast the SEC Tournament Championship match between Alabama and Kentucky on a tape-delayed basis, signifying the first appearance of an SEC women’s soccer match on television. Southeastern Conference women’s soccer continued to grow over the next couple of years as the conference made a name for itself nationally. In 1998, the SEC had its breakout season with Florida winning the conference’s first NCAA title in women’s soccer in just the program’s fourth year of existence. The league led the nation with six NCAA Tournament teams that year, an accomplishment which firmly inserted the SEC as one of the major conferences in women’s soccer. The SEC also made bigger strides in its tele- vision coverage with three regular season matches and the SEC Tournament championship match shown live on the SEC-TV package. In 2003, the SEC Soccer Tournament moved to a neutral site in Orange Beach, Ala., signifying the growth of the sports’ popularity. In 2006, SEC-TV’s women’s soccer cov- erage was increased to four regular-season matches, in addition to the SEC Tournament championship match. The sport’s coverage in the SEC expanded again in 2009 as four matches were televised nationally on ESPNU in addition to the SEC Tournament championship match. FOX, CSS and CST combined to push the SEC’s television appearances to more than 15 matches per year. The SEC and ESPN have signed a 20-year agreement through 2034 to cre- ate and operate a multiplatform network which will launch August 14, 2014. The new network and its accompanying digital platform will air SEC content 24/7 including more than 1,000 events in its first year. The network will televise events from across the SEC’s 21 sports annually, including 17 regular season soccer matches. Programming will also include in-depth commentary and anal- ysis in studio shows, daily news and information, original content such as SEC Storied and more. Additionally, more than 100 additional soccer matches will be offered exclusively on the digital platform SEC Network +. The first three rounds of the 2014 SEC Tournament will be televised live on the SEC Network while the championship game will be broadcast on ESPNU. That incremental growth, combined with increasing exposure on the nation- al and regional scene, has SEC women’s soccer looking to blossom to new heights in the year 2014 and beyond. In 2013, the SEC boasted ... • Four NSCAA Scholar All-Americas • Five Capital One Academic All-Americas • 12 Capital One Academic All-District picks • 14 programs earning NSCAA/adidas College Team Academic Awards • Six All-Americas, including one first team and three second team selections • 23 student-athletes on the NSCAA All-Region teams • Six teams advancing to the NCAA Championships • At least six teams advancing to the postseason for the sixth time in the past seven seasons • Each of the teams advancing to postseason play won their opening round match SEC SOCCER SID CONTACTS SEC Craig Pinkerton (205) 458-3000 [email protected] Alabama Aaron Jordan (205) 348-5401 [email protected] Arkansas Mike Hill (479) 575-2751 [email protected] Auburn John Thomas (334) 844-9800 [email protected] Florida Mary Howard (352) 375-4683 x6110 [email protected] Georgia Kate Copp (706) 542-9342 [email protected] Kentucky Chris Shoals (859) 257-3838 [email protected] LSU Will Stafford (225) 578-8226 [email protected] Ole Miss Bill Bunting (662) 915-1083 [email protected] Mississippi State Brock Turnipseed (662) 325-7556 [email protected] Missouri Kate Lakin (573) 884-8519 [email protected] South Carolina Megan Hartsell (803) 777-1516 [email protected] Tennessee Stephen Lee (865) 974-7478 [email protected] Texas A&M Thomas Dick (979) 862-5486 [email protected] Vanderbilt Jerome Boettcher (615) 343-0019 [email protected] TABLE OF CONTENTS SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE Composite Schedule 2 YEAR IN REVIEW 2013 Standings / Postseason Results 3 2013 Honors 4-5 Team Statistics (All-Games) 6 Individual Statistics (All-Games) 7 Team Statistics (SEC Games) 8 Individual Statistics (SEC Games) 9 SEC TOURNAMENT SEC Tournament Bracket 10 SEC Tournament Results 11 All-SEC Tournament Teams 12 SEC Tournament Records 13 RECORD BOOK All-Time Records 13 All-Time SEC Standings 14-15 Annual Leaders 16 Single-Game Records 17 Season Records 18 Career Leaders/Miscellaneous Records 19 SEC in the Final Polls 20 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS SEC in the NCAAs 21 NCAA Championship Appearances 21-22 Annual Appearances 23-24 HONORS Annual SEC And National Honors 25 All-SEC Selections 26-27 Freshman All-SEC Selections 28 SEC Athletes of the Week 29-30

Format The format of the tournament is a single-elimination tournament of the top 10 teams in the Conference. The tournament champion shall be the SEC rep-resentative to the NCAA championship. The following point system will be implemented to determine regular season standings and seeding for the tournament: a win counts as three points, a tie as one and a loss as zero points. If a game is canceled, neither team will receive a point and the standings will be determined by average points per game. The two teams in each division with the highest number of points will be the divisional champions. The tournament shall be played in a Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Sunday for-mat with Thursday and Saturday designated as days off (practice days).

Seeding The tournament will be seeded 1-10 regardless of division based on the point system implemented to determine regular season standings. If teams are tied, the following procedures, in order as follows, will be used to break the tie: Two-Team Tie – The following procedure will be used in the following order until the tie is broken: A. Head-to-head competition between the tied teams. B. Points earned versus common opponents. 97 C. Goal differential versus common opponents. D. Goals scored versus common opponents.

E. Won-Lost record of the two teams versus highest seeded common oppo-nent and proceeding through the No. 14 seed, if necessary.

F. Goal differential versus highest seeded common opponent and proceed-ing through the No. 14 seed, if necessary.

G. Goals scored versus highest seeded common opponent and proceeding through the No. 14 seed, if necessary.

H. Coin flip by the Commissioner.

Three-Team Tie (or more) – The following procedure will be used until the tie is broken. If at any time this tie breaker results in only two remaining tied teams, then the two-team tiebreaker will be used beginning with Subsection A in that procedure and continuing from that point: A. If all teams have played one another, then most points earned in those

matches only. B. If all teams have not played, but one team has defeated all teams in the tie

break, then that team breaks the tie and shall be placed highest. Remain-ing teams will continue with the tie break procedure.

C. If all teams have not played one another and a team does not have all wins over the tied teams, then use Subsection B in the two-team tie break procedures and continue through the two team tie-break procedures until ties between all teams are broken (except Subsection H will read “if three or more teams are still tied, the Commissioner will conduct a draw”).
