Claudia McCabe-Cort, CKD, CBD

Claudia has had the pleasure of being in the kitchen and bath industry for over 25 years in various capacities.

In 1986, she started her own Interior Decorating Firm and quickly added kitchen and bath design, which became an integral part of the company. Along with her expertise in Residential Design, Claudia has vast experience in Commercial Design creating Multi-family, Municipal buildings, Senior Centers, etc. Working with the Kitchen and Bath Dealers, Interior Designers and Architects has given her great insight to their wants and needs. This unique combination of knowledge is what leads Claudia to start a Manufacturer’s Rep Company in January 2010.

NKBA has been an integral part of her life for many years. Claudia has served in many capacities not only on the local level but on the national level as well. Claudia is a Past president of the New Jersey Chapter. She also held the position of VP of Programming and VP of Government Relations. After her term as President she now retains the VP of Government Relations. On the National level she was elected to the Legislative Committee where she held the Chairperson position her last year on the committee. Currently Claudia is a member of the Manufacturer’s Rep Council. During her membership in the NKBA she has judge not only the Student Design Contest but the National Contest and the “This Old House” before and after contest. Claudia is looking forward to being a long term member of the NKBA.

Shelley Rubino, CKD, CBD

I am currently in my 15th year in Kitchen and Bathroom Design.  I work in an active 8 designer showroom where I am responsible for all aspects relative to design and sales for both kitchen and bathroom projects.  I have experience in both remodeling and new construction projects from design to completion including some project management for both.  I am responsible for sourcing my own materials which gives me constant research knowledge for all of the industry.  I have attended over six KBIS trade shows.  I studied and received both my CKD and CBD in May and November 2009, respectively,  under the guidance and mentorship of David Newton, CMKBD.  I am currently working toward my CMKBD, in which I will be eligible in May 2019.  As part of my certifications, I am required to attend classes and receive CEU's of 10 hours per two year period.  I enroll in at least 2-3 NKBA classes each year to get those credits.  I did submit my own project in the 2010 National Kitchen and Bath Design Competition.  I have now completed two years of judging with the Student Design Competition.
