That vibrant woven fabric, those delicate leaves, that beautiful hand-sewn cloth – these are the interlayers that make our jewelry so special. Not just because of their beauty, but because of their story. Nearly half of the interlayers in our catalog come from women artisans around the world through our Full Circle Program.

Full Circle is a series of initiatives that focus on sustaining a better life and a better future for these women through new skills, new opportunities, and a better living environment for their entire communities.

At Color by Amber, our Stylists are not just selling jewelry. They’re joining a community of women, connected across the globe, each giving a part of themselves to help empower the rest. Through our programs, our Stylists and artisans have been able to meet in person as well as in purpose, truly bringing everything “full circle”.

NDEM, SenegalA Year of School SuppliesDuring our recent trip to NDEM, enough funds were donated for a year’s worth of books, paper, and other supplies for the children of the village.

A New Trade LearnedFour women are now empowered and independent with training in organic cotton farming, and cotton weaving on two looms purchased through microloans.

A New MarketplaceWith the help of a newly established marketplace, 250 farmers are able to provide for their families by selling their produce there each week.

A Thriving New BusinessThe installation of solar panels empowers 15 women with a solar power business that supports over 300 families.

Full Circle InterlayersAround the world, Color by Amber searches for small workshops with responsible leaders to create beautiful Full Circle materials in an authentically sustainable fashion. Sometimes it starts with an incredible material, and other times a compelling mission of aid, but Color by Amber is committed to giving back to the wonderful communities we work with.

Our interlayers come from remote places all over the planet…the foothills of Mount Everest, the west coast of Africa, the highlands of Chiapas. We’re doing more than creating beautiful products; we’re creating materials that are beautifully made.

Woven Wool, MexicoOur woven wool interlayers come from the Chiapas highlands in southern Mexico.

Ithemba, South AfricaIthemba interlayers include hand crocheted copper wiring and traditional African beads from South Africa.

Organic Cotton, NDEMLocally grown and hand-sewn organic cottons from NDEM, Senegal
