Learners will gain hands-on experience performing advanced, flexible endoscopy techniques and learn more about the integral role of these procedures in the management of bariatric complications. Learners will discuss the technical aspects of the most challenging procedures with faculty who are experts in their field. Target Audience This program is designed to meet the continuing education needs of bariatric surgeons, MIS fellows, general surgery residents, physician extenders, and allied health professionals. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: • Describe approaches and technical issues in various bariatric surgery procedures • Describe techniques for revision of gastric bypass, sleeve, and banding procedures • Discuss options for patients experiencing weight regain after bariatric surgery • Explain laparoscopic and endoscopic management techniques for correcting complications • Identify new and advanced concepts used to treat obesity and metabolic disease ACCREDITATION Duke University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Duke University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Self-assessment credits toward Part 2 of the ABS MOC Program are also available. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
