Bringing It All Together
OCTOBER 20-22 , 2014HOLIDAY INN CHICAGO MART | CHICAGO, IL
Welcome to Summit 2014 in Chicago, where we are “Bringing it All Together!” Over the next three days, you will have a chance
to explore, in depth, the hot topics, trends, and challenges of the advancement services profession. From engaging constituent
groups to leading organizational change, our five educational tracks are designed to help you easily find the best practices and
advanced knowledge that will help you succeed in your career.
But Summit is not only about excellent education. It’s also about coming together to get inspired and reinvigorated, to ignite a
passion for the future of our profession and your place in it. There is nothing like talking with those who speak the same language
and face the same challenges. I hope you take advantage of all the opportunities Summit presents to truly connect and share
with your colleagues. If you do, you will leave Summit with much more than knowledge. You will leave with friends, supporters,
confidants, and even mentors.
Included in our fantastic programming and special events this year, we will have an eye-opening presentation by Steve
MacLaughlin on how to navigate change in the nonprofit sector. We’ll also take time to recognize the accomplishments of our
members and the progress and growth we have made as an organization.
My warmest thanks to the program committee, our Summit team, particularly our chair, Barbara Gomez, and our marketing and
sponsorship committee members; a tremendous job by all!
Once again, welcome to Summit 2014 and I look forward to a great time together!
Sincerely,
Meredeth WinterPresident, AASP
