    BEE MIGHTY NEWSLETTER

First Annual Bee Something for Bee Mighty Gala

More than 250 guests were personally greeted by a Bee Mighty board member as they entered the Bee Something for Bee Mighty Fundraiser at Charlotte Country Club last November. Guests enjoyed a Life-Style Auction, fabulous prizes, dinner and dancing as we raised over $80,000 for

medical therapy and equipment for NICU graduates.

The Charlotte Bobcats = The Stinger We were thrilled to have The Charlotte Bobcats as our

Presenting Sponsor at the 2013 Bee Something for Bee Mighty event. They are Bringing Back the Buzz again this year as Present Sponsor, The Charlotte Hornets!

Diamonds Direct, bee-jeweled one lucky winner in $3,000

worth of diamonds! We feel so honored to be part of the inaugural Bee Something event and look forward to partnering with Bee Mighty again next year. Bee Mighty is such an amazing organization that truly changes lives!

    Christa Hooper, Diamonds Direct

Liz Seegers, creator of The Art Room, immortalized our inaugural event by capturing the names and fingerprints of each Patron. Then transforming the prints into bees swarming a hive of names of many mighty miracles. This mural can be found in the NICU at Hemby Childrens Hospital.

In addition to our luxury auction that included art from famed artist Anne Neilson, outdoor furniture, vacations in the snow and sun and so much more, our Bee Surprised raffle alone had over seventy-five

    gifts worth over $5,500.

    BEE MIGHTY NEWSLETTER

Bee Jeweled Diamonds Direct created quite the buzz when they sponsored the Bee Jeweled raffle at the Bee Something for Bee Mighty event. Diamonds Direct displayed eye-catching, glow rings for sale during the event. Later in the evening, those wearing rings were invited to the stage, where a winner was determined through a classic dual of Heads or Tales.

In a dramatic conclusion, Linda Duggan squealed with delight when she learned she would be taking home $3,000 in diamonds!

When asked about her experience at the Bee Mighty event, Linda says, The evening created awareness within the community and educated

attendees about the important mission in a elegant and memorable way. I cant imagine being the parent in the NICU and find it admirable the way Bee Mighty supports and provides assistance to other parents who are going through a similar situation.

Ironically, Linda was engaged three weeks prior to the event. She and her fiance visited Diamonds Direct earlier that very day to select their wedding bands.

Thank you, Diamonds Direct, for a spectacular sponsorship. We look forward to having your glow rings and another lucky winner at this years event!

    In Memory Anita Hinson McDonald

1962 2014 Anita Hinson McDonald worked as a neonatal intensive care

nurse at Presbyterian Hospital for almost thirty years. Anita enjoyed playing the piano, snow skiing and spending days on the lake with her family. In lieu of flowers, Anita asked that all donations be made to Bee Mighty. She will be remembered as a caring mother, a fun-loving friend and a faithful disciple of Christ and a miracle worker to countless families that she worked with.
