Welcome to Boyertown Area Senior High!

It’s great to be able to share the excitement of the start of yet another great fall season with our athletes and musicians as well as all of the important people behind the scenes who support their efforts and dedication. Vince Lombardi once stated…”Dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you’re willing to pay the price.” As a former athlete, musician, and coach, I can truly say that I understand the commitment it takes to enable our students to be successful.

BASH has a strong tradition of success with our athletics and music programs. As principal, I am very proud of our student participants and the family, friends and community that sup-port their efforts.

Participation in extracurricular activities provides such important opportunities for students to learn and grow. They are placed in an environment where they must collaborate, com-municate, and work as a team, learning valuable lessons that go far beyond the traditional classroom walls. Thank you for your continued support of our young men and women as they share with you the results of their hard work and dedication.

Enjoy the fall season!

Brett A. Cooper, Ed.D. Principal Boyertown Area Senior High School

It is my honor to welcome you to another exciting season of Boyertown Area Senior High School football.

What an exciting time for all of us as we commit to cheer for all of our student athletes. We are very proud of our athletes who demonstrate excellence both on the playing field and in the classroom.

On any Friday evening in America, communities gear up for the excitement created by the energy of a high school football game. The band proudly plays the school fight song and performs the half-time show while the cheerleaders encourage our athletes through celebra-tion and cheer.

Our fans model sportsmanship and fill the stadium in anticipation of the next touchdown or goal-line stand. Younger children dream of the day that they will be on the field represent-ing their school. Parents watch enthusiastically to catch a glimpse of their child making a tackle or crossing the goal-line for another score.

Endless opportunities and bright futures are available for all of our students. I encourage your child/children to do their very best on the playing field and in the classroom. I appre-ciate your support in keeping the education of the students of the Boyertown Area School District our number one priority.

I look forward to meeting each of you and to a successful school year. I am humbled to be the superintendent of such an outstanding school district and such a wonderful community.

GO BEARS!!

Sincerely,

Richard H. Faidley, Ed.D. Superintendent

Hello students! Hello families, teachers, support staff, administrators and school board members!

Here we are at the start of the 2014-2015 school year and I hope everyone is as excited as I am.

At Boyertown Area School District, we are dedicated to providing a valuable, well-rounded education to our students, with strong academic programs as well as the opportunity to grow through various extracurricular activities such as service and leadership organizations, music, art and athletics. It is inspiring to see how many of our students choose to take advantage of these opportunities.

Best wishes to all of our students for an enriching academic year and to our football team for a successful season!

BOYERTOWN AREA HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING UNIT

Boyertown Area Senior High School Marching Unit Ladies and Gentlemen, with great pride, the Boyertown Area School District is pleased to present the 2014 award-winning Boyertown Area Senior High Marching Unit.

Our fall 2014 field show, “Sweet Dreams” features three original pieces of music by composer, Dr. Andrew Yozviak. The show retells the classic fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel” with a modern twist.

Once upon a time, not so long ago, a brother and sister were over at Grandmother’s house for a visit. Bedtime was their favorite time with Grandmother because she was the best at reading fairytales. As Grandmother read, the children quickly dozed off. Suddenly, the brother and sister woke up lost in the deep, dark woods. Trying to find their way out, the children came across the most beautiful house they ever saw; a house made up of all confectionary delights! Candy canes, lollipops, gum-drops, fudge, and all sweets imaginable allured the two helpless, hungry children inside. Upon enter-ing the house, a wicked-old witch captured them. Let’s find out how the Boyertown Marching Band and Color Guard help them escape the evil witch and find their way back to Grandmother’s house.

ALMA MATERof the

Boyertown Area Senior High SchoolWords and Music by Daniel M. Yoder

(Class of 1914)

We love to bring our tribute, in lofty songs of praise, To Thee, Our Alma Mater, our grateful voices raise. No heart can stay the feelings for deeds which thou hast done. For thou hast by thy nurture a nobler race begun.

How could our hearts be silent when we they worth recount! It is to thee we owe our thanks, so let our praises mount. If we should pay in gratitude the thanks we owe to thee, Our treasuries could not avail, we would thy debtors be.

Come let us swell the song abroad and make thy glories known; Thou hast endeared us to thy fold, thou did'st us welcome home. Thy noble sons have blazed a trail of glory and of fame, We'll raise our standard to the world in Alma Mater's name.
