GENERAL INFORMATION ON TRAINING PROGRAMS

LIVING EXPENSESSponsoring organizations are expected to pay their nominees fullboard accommodation, out of pocket and transit allowances according to their respective Service Regulations or use UNDP rates for Daily subsistance Allowance (DSA) applicable to the venue of the program. If need be TAMI is willing to give guidelines on request

4. TRAINING NEEDS ASSESSMENTAll programs will undergo a training needs assessment (TNA) with the participants to ensure that the program content meets the needs of the participant or the organizations’ training group.

5. CLOTHINGFor programs conducted in the Southern Hemisphere of the African continent you need warm clothing especially in winter (May-June-July-August)

THE NATURE OF TAMI

TAMI was founded in January 1991, its headquarters are in Kampala Uganda. So far it has branches in Swaziland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and arrangements are in the pipeline to open chapters in Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria and Botswana.

In every country where TAMI is registered, there is a Board of Directors and a core of local consultants, with the following directorates:

When it comes to strategic planning, operationalisation and implementation of programmes, members of the aforementioned directorates work as a team. They are interchangeable. In a nutshell, TAMI is a matrix organization in operational terms.

SERVICES OFFERED BY TAMI

1. Open Management and Development Programs:These are programmes designed by TAMI and are included in our annual/biannual brochure with all the relevant details, and are adjustable depending on numbers of participants sent to a given programme by an organization.

2. Tailor-made Management Training and Development Programmes:These programs are designed to suit the particular interest or Management Training/Development Needs of a given client/organization. Designing of such programmes is jointly done between TAMI and the client (organization) , fees and venues negotiable.

3. Contractural ProgrammesThese are training programmes designed by client/organizations and subcontracted to TAMI

4. Consultancy Services:A client (organization) approaches TAMI for such services or TAMI responds to adverts for Expressions of Interest or call for proposals. TAMI then carries out an organizational needs analysis to confirm define and or refine the client organization’s concept of its needs.

5. Institutional ServicesTAMI facilitators are attached or seconded to an organization where they operate as members of that organization, and are tasked to train/develop employee(s) of that orgnaization in specific skills

Annual conferencesTami conducts annual conferences which follow a unique framework design. They are practical in nature, interactive and focused on problem-solving in order to help participants share their experiences and learn from one another. Participants also have the opportunity to share their views about the conference topics, both with the speakers and with each other. They are always invited to take an active part in discussions throughout the conference.
