Ashan Day had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. West Georgia was led by Alex Abreu with 31 points and Donta Stocks with 20. The Bulldogs led at the half 27-22 over the Choctaws but fell into foul trouble in the second half. Union and Mississippi College traded the lead 13 mes in the final half but the Choctaws ulmately held on to pull out the win. Pearson, Day, Brock each earned double digit point totals with 16, 15 and 14 points respecvely. Pearson sll leads in scoring for the Bulldogs averaging 17.8 points per game. Pearson is fourth in the GSC in scoring, while West Georgia’s Deonta Stocks leads the league with 21.5 points per game. West Georgia’s Alex Abreu is the top 3-pointer shooter in the GSC with 58 made 3’s, (.479). Pearson is seventh with 41 made 3’s (.383). Union is currently 4-3 on the road this season, while West Georgia boasts a 9-1 record at home. Tonight, Union will take on West Georgia who is currently sing in a e for first place on top of the Gulf South standings with a 11-4 record.
