promote amateur athletics in Texas• 17 regions• Comprised of parks and recreation departments,

individuals and organizations• Member since 1975

College Station, Bryan & Texas A&M University• Sports festival created for Texas’ amateur athletes

ages 5 to 50• Largest amateur sporting event in Texas• Core events: track, swimming, golf, tennis and boxing• Average of 10,000 athletes and 20,000 spectators
