Hello Everybody, Here’s a quick report on everything intermingled with prayer requests. It might seem a little rushed, and that would be accurate. The pace always picks up near the end of the school year. Wrapping up Campus Life and working on baccalaureate keeps me moving. Please pray for me. Ask that I keep priorities in place; not just family, but first things first in growing the mission of YFC. Sometimes work- ing directly with teens can distract me from empowering others to work with teens too. Both are part of our mission. Campus Life has a consistent group of young people attending. The plan, like normal, is to stop programming when school is out. Some kids have requested that we run throughout the summer, but that will not happen unless I can recruit a good team of 3-4 additional volunteers. We will still have 2 Campus Life gatherings in the summer to keep everyone con- nected, regardless. Planning for the 2014 Oskaloosa baccalau- reate is underway. Please pray for the seniors who are involved. And be sure to attend the day before graduation at 11am in the OHS Gymnasium. Our Teen Parents group will soon be having their next monthly meeting. They also are planning a moms’ shopping night. In the upcoming months, we’ll be looking at how better to connect with other young mom’s in the community. Please keep all that in prayer, and additionally remember one baby who is not receiving appropriately healthy meals. We have been educating mom, but change is slow. Please pray for Board Development as well. We are currently in recruitment mode. Pray that God sends us key individuals to move forward our mission. As always, I am grateful for your prayers and support. Because of you, young people get to hear about Jesus. Thank you. Sincerely, Doug Mills Executive Director Always rejoice, CONSTANTLY PRAY, in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thes 5:16-18

Hello Everybody,

Here’s a quick report on everything intermingled with prayer requests. It might seem a little

rushed, and that would be accurate. The pace always picks up near the end of the school year.

Wrapping up Campus Life and working on baccalaureate keeps me moving. Please pray for me.

Ask that I keep priorities in place; not just family, but first

things first in growing the mission of YFC. Sometimes work-

ing directly with teens can distract me from empowering

others to work with teens too. Both are part of our mission.

Campus Life has a consistent group of young people

attending. The plan, like normal, is to stop programming

when school is out. Some kids have requested that we run

throughout the summer, but that will not happen unless I can recruit a good team of 3-4 additional

volunteers. We will still have 2 Campus Life gatherings in the summer to keep everyone con-

nected, regardless.

Planning for the 2014 Oskaloosa baccalau-

reate is underway. Please pray for the seniors who

are involved. And be sure to attend the day before

graduation at 11am in the OHS Gymnasium.

Our Teen Parents group will soon be having

their next monthly meeting. They also are planning

a moms’ shopping night. In the upcoming months,

we’ll be looking at how better to connect with other

young mom’s in the community. Please keep all that in prayer, and additionally remember one

baby who is not receiving appropriately healthy meals. We have been educating mom, but change

is slow.

Please pray for Board Development as well. We are currently in recruitment mode. Pray that

God sends us key individuals to move forward our mission.

As always, I am grateful for your prayers and support. Because of you, young people get to

hear about Jesus. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Doug Mills

Executive Director

Always rejoice,

CONSTANTLY PRAY,

in everything give thanks.

For this is God’s will for you

in Christ Jesus.

Since this mailing is printed in black and white, I

can’t talk about our finances being in the red this month. I

suppose I should say we’re in the parenthesis. :) Truly, we

have our reserves for which I am thankful. It helps as we

cycle through the ups and downs of the giving year. The

YFC board is working hard to grow itself. We are searching

for 2 individuals who could lead funding events. We’ve

identified this as the turning point if we are to grow past

1.25 staff. Please keep that in your prayers, and thanks for

all you do for lost teens.
