FBLA Washington

Wizards Field Trip

Seven FBLA officers and members, Josh Grove, Jasper van Dijk, Hannah Sheppard, Makenna Winner, Ryan Loeh, Alexis Cozza, and Kariann Reish accompanied Mrs. Michelle Carpenter on a joint field trip with the Milton High School FBLA to the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. Students were given a private session with four members of the Verizon Center management team. This real-life learning opportunity provided students with valuable information about the sports and entertainment industry.

The day began with a stop at Baltimore Inner Harbor for lunch and shopping.

Next, we stopped at the Washington D.C. Zoo to visit the animals.

Then we went to the Verizon Center for an educational sports business seminar. Members of the Wizards’ management team spoke directly to the students about their professional experiences and offered insight for those interested in pursuing a career in the sports or entertainment industry.

The night ended with an exciting game of the Washington Wizards vs. the Philadelphia 76rs.
