2013 Term 2 Week 5 Principal: Timothy Allen

Dear Parents and Carers, Our students had a fantastic day at the Gralee Sensory Day last week. It is always a great opportunity for students across our schools to come together for a day of fun! We were also fortunate that Gralee staff were able to collect our students using their buses. A big thank you to everyone at Gralee for making this event so enjoyable.

Grandparents Day Next Thursday, November 7th 2019 as part of our Week Four Whole School Assembly and shared lunch activities we will celebrate Grandparents Day at Yanco PS. Grandparents are invited for morning tea followed by activities with the students. We will have small group rotations prior to our shared lunch and our whole school assembly. K.1.2 Excursion On Friday, November 22nd K.1.2 will travel to Junee to visit the Junee Licorice Factory followed by a visit to Noah’s Ark and the Botanical Gardens in Wagga Wagga. Miss Grigg will attend the excursion with Mrs Kroek and Mrs Millthorpe. Students will be required to attend school by 8am to catch the bus and we should return to school by 4pm.

NRL Clinic On Monday afternoon K-6 participated in an NRL skills session it was great to see a high level of participation from all of our students. Well done! Facebook Survey In the coming weeks a survey will be posted to our Yanco Public School Facebook page that will enable parents, carers and community members to share their thoughts on the programs and activities at the school. The survey is anonymous. Lanterns on the Lake Yanco Public School P & C The upcoming lanterns on the Lake will be held on Friday the 6th of December 2019. The Lanterns on the Lake event will require YPS students to collect 2 litre milk bottles. Could you please save your bottles, wash and remove the label and send into the school over the next few weeks.
