HOW DO I VOLUNTEER FOR A COMMITTEE

It is expected that every committee contain at least one parent from

each grade level (9-12)• Either as a coordinator or member• Critical for succession planning• Great way to meet other parents and become a part of the SC Family!

GAME DAY ASSIGNMENT REMINDER

EVERY PARENT WILL WORK A MINIMUM OF TWO FOOTBALL GAMES

• Sign up today for the games you want to work• Sign up on www.scfootball1.com for preferred games (notice will be sent via email

when signup periods opens) • If you don’t sign up, you will be assigned!• Game day volunteer schedule/assignment will be posted on website and via

remainder emails• If you can’t work, it is up to you to find a sub – don’t leave the team short-handed on

game day!

President – John GroeberResponsibilities include:• Work closely with Coach Pharion on all Booster Club activities

• Coordinate Booster Club activities with Committee Coordinators

• Communicate all Booster Club activities / news to football parents

• Review financil statements with Treasurer JB Bailey and Coach Pharion

• Troubleshoot / “crisis” management

Treasurer – JB BaileyResponsibilities include:• Work closely with Coach Pharion & SC Accounting Dept. on all aspects of program finances

• Track all deposits & expenses

• Tracks/communicates finances of all funding activities (player credits)

• Reviews/confirms monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements

• Coordinates collection/counting of gate receipts at all home games

Responsibilities include:• Explanation of program to families• Prepare program ad order forms• Collect and record ads & monies• Work w/advertisers on artwork• Place ads and work with publisher on development of program• Work closely w/Treasurer (player credit)

Responsibilities include:• Prepare raffle ticket info sheet• Print & distribute raffle tickets• Collect monies & record sales• Work closely w/Treasurer (player credit)• Ongoing communication of deadlines• Coordinate Raffle Drawing at Cardinal Day

Responsibilities include:• Assign volunteers to work Varsity, JV & Freshman games (ever parent to be assigned

to work minimum two game)

- Assignments: Gate, Ticket Sales, Program Sales, Concessions, Apparel Sales, Parking, etc.

- Goal is to assign parents to games their son is not playing, (e.g. F/JV parents work Varsity games, etc.)

- Signups via Cardinal Day and SC football website

• Coordinate with Webmaster for on-line signup tool• Communicate assignments weekly (via mass e-mail/post on website)

Game Day Operations

Coordinator: Bill Holtz

Responsibilities of “Game Day” Coordinators:

• Open/Set-up Gate (w/AD Lawler – get cash boxes, etc.) - 6:00 p.m. Varsity; 40 mins. before game (JV/Frosh)

• Volunteer Check-in 6:15 p.m. (Varsity); 30 mins. before game (JV/Frosh)

• “Recruit/Remind” Volunteers as necessary (also known as “trawling the Grotto”)

• Direct/Manage Volunteers before / during game

Assignment: Gate, Ticket Sales, Program Sales, 50/50 sales,

Concessions, Apparel Sales, Parking, Chain Gang, etc.

GAME DAY CONCESSIONS COMMITTEE

Coordinator: Julie Gray Costello

Responsibilities Include:

• Open / prep / close concession stand

• Work with Archie Mills in ‘stocking’ concession stand

• Manage volunteers in staffing concessions

• Communicate with Game Day Coordinators as necessary

TEAM DINNERS COMMITTEE

Coordinators: Joanne Heil / Kimber Moehrman

Responsibilities Include:• Coordinate pre-game meals for Varsity team & coaches, after

practice meals for Frosh• Coordinate “Victory Meals”• Coordinate meals for visiting out of town teams• Coordinate “after-game” food/drinks for SC out of town games• Coordinate donations of food, drinks, fruit, snacks, etc.• Organize volunteers for set-up, serving, clean-up, etc.

Responsibilities Include:

• Introduction of Booster Club program at Parents Meeting• Prepare Booster Club / Spirit Shirt Order Forms• Accountability of player credit• Communicate Season Tickets / Student Spirit Shirt Sales to SC Parents /

Students (April e-mail)• Work w/printer and apparel coordinator on tickets, parking passes & shirts• Staff meet the Team Night tables for last minute ticket sales• Distribute tickets, parking passes & shirts

SPIRIT CLUB

Responsibilities Include:

• Create ‘Locker’ signs for players

• Organize/Manage Volunteers

• Initiate ‘spirit’ programs: ‘tunnel of pride’, noise makers, etc…

SENIOR DINNER (Thursday 10/18) and SENIOR NIGHT (Friday 10/19) COMMITTEE

Responsibilities Include:• Senior Dinner:

- Coordinate dinner for Senior players and families, and coaches

- Create senior award

• Senior Night

- Coordinate ‘pre-game’ announcements of senior players and parents

- Flowers for Mothers

• Organize Volunteers

- (It is ‘tradition’ for Junior class parents to coordinate these events)

Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with apparel company

• Order/Distribute Spirit Shirts (coordinate with Booster Club Membership committee coordinator)

• Manage Apparel Stand during home Varsity games

Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinate set-up & tear-down of Cavello Center (Booster Committee Presentation/Committee tables) and Multipurpose Rom (food/seating)

• Coordinate potluck needs (i.e., plates, utensils, etc…)

• Organize volunteers to setup / teardown

MEET THE TEAM NIGHT (Sunday 8/22/13)

Responsibilities Include:

• Work with Treasurer to create Participation Fee Invoices and confirm Booster Passes / Spirit Shirt status

• Collate Fee Invoices / Booster Passes / Spirit Shirts prior to meeting (coordinate with Treasurer and Booster Membership Committee Chair)

• Assure Staffing in place for invoice processing / payment (coordinate with Treasurer)
