Parents are advised to: a) Complete hardcopy S1 Option Form

b) Access S1-IS link via S1 website www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/

c) Logon using pupil’s BC/FIN and S1 PIN (as printed on S1 Option Form)

d) Input school choices and/or eligibility options

e) Print out Verification Slip as proof of successful submission

24hrs starting from 12 noon on the 22 Nov until 3pm on 28 Nov [S1 Option Phase] (Singapore Time)

For parents’ verification – print 2 copies of VS to be printed and signed by parent. Schools to retain 1 copy for audit purposes

Day after submission closes: 9am – 12pm (for new submission of S1 school choices only at Primary Schools)

Amendments to Choices:

Parents are allowed a one-time amendment to submitted S1 options via S1-IS

Parents who wish to make further amendments are to approach Tao Nan School for assistance. Parents to endorse original verification slip (VS) with name, signature, date and contact number

School to assist using School User account and print VS for parents to sign. School to keep copy for 1 year for audit purposes

Two Option Codes: ‘O’ Level Programme and

Integrated Programme (IP)

• Student must choose option codes of both programmes if he/she

is interested in both (e.g. 3014 (‘O’ Level) & 9151 (IP))

• Student who chooses the IP of the school as first choice will NOT

be automatically be posted to ‘O’ Level Programme unless he/she

chooses the ‘O’ Level Programme as a second choice and meets

the COP.

• Similarly, if a student chooses ‘O’ Level Programme as a first

choice and is successfully posted, he/she will NOT be considered

for the IP even if he/she meets the IP COP.

Edusave Entrance Scholarships for Independent Schools (EESIS)

(a) Meet Academic Requirements

Singapore Citizens (SC) who have met the academic requirements based on their PSLE results and admitted to Independent Schools will be eligible for EESIS

Eligible pupils to receive Eligibility Letter

Interested eligible pupils advised to select Independent Schools among their secondary school choices

(b) GEP Students

SC who were in GEP at Primary 6, meet the GEP promotion criteria and admitted into Integrated Programme at Independent Schools will be eligible for EESIS.

Modes for parents to check posting results:

Short Messaging System (SMS)

- Parents will receive posting results via SMS if they provide a valid local mobile

number when submitting their child’s secondary school options through the S1-IS

during S1 Option Phase.

Online (with Internet Access) - Access S1-IS via S1 website for posting results

- Pupils’ BC/FIN and PSLE Index Number

Primary Schools - Tao Nan School will provide PCs (with Internet access) and printers for parents

Specialised Schools for Normal (Technical) Students (SSNT)

• Crest Secondary School and the new Spectra Secondary School

Eligible students will receive an invitation letter and application form

Interested students to apply directly at the schools (from 22 to 26 Nov

2013 by 12pm)

• Even after applying to the SSNT, student is required to opt for a secondary

school during S1 Option Phase.

• Successful SSNT applicants will be informed by the respective SSNT and

will not be posted in the S1 Posting Exercise.

• The results for the SSNT posting will be released to the primary schools by

13 Dec 2013.

Admission to Singapore Sports School (SSP)

• Apply directly to SSP, not through S1 Posting Exercise

• If student accepted offer from SSP, they should NOT exercise their school

preference during the DSA Exercise School Preference Stage

– If they exercise their school preference during the DSA Exercise School Preference Stage,

their earlier SSP offer will be void.

– Student should continue to take part in the S1 Posting Exercise

• Successful SSP DSA students are NOT allowed to transfer to another school

as they are expected to honour their commitment to SSP for the duration of

the programme that they are admitted into

– If there are extenuating circumstances that the students cannot continue in SSP, they can

only be transferred to their posted secondary school provided to them under the S1 posting

exercise.

• The special admission is targeted to P6 students who have missed or may not

be aware of the DSA exercise in Jun/ Jul.

• Students who are artistically talented, academically inclined and have not been

offered DSA posting are encouraged to apply for this special admission.

• Information on SOTA's Special Admission and the detailed requirements can
