2013 Quality Systems Assessment Using the web-based self assessment application Slide 2 How does the QSA online tool work? The web-based self assessment is maintained by the CEC Confidentiality is assured for all data stored on the site Navigating the self-assessment: To move to the next section choose 'Next' at the bottom of each page. To save your answers and return to the self assessment later choose 'Save the Self Assessment and Return Later' at the bottom of the page. The progress bar at the left of the screen enables easy review of completed sections Choose 'Previous' at the bottom of the page to return to previous pages - Do not use the browser 'Back' button as this could take you out of the self assessment Slide 3 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 3 You will receive an email that includes link, login and password that takes you to the internet site to complete the self assessment The email will also have a copy of the self assessment attached and information on how to best undertake the tool 2 1 3 3 2 1 Slide 4 2. Type in your login and unique password here 3. Click on Login 1. Click on link to open website (internet link) and window opens to input login and password N.B. it should be noted that due to some organisations firewalls and access time to the internet the self assessment tool can time out especially if it is open but not in use. Unfortunately the program does not notify you that this has occurred and you may only find out when you go to move on / save the page all data / responses that you have entered during the timeout is lost. To avoid this occurring you may want to consider completing the self assessment as a team and then input data in one go. Slide 5 You next come to the introduction page which: provides an overview of what is in the self assessment Gives some pointers on how to proceed Provides links to resource documents Slide 6 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 6 This page has access to various tools / information such as the guide to completing the self assessment (all open in separate window) Slide 7 When ready to proceed choose next to commence the self assessment Slide 8 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 8 Most questions are mandatory but have not applicable or dont know option Each page is a different theme for assessment explanatory notes are included to give some context into why the question is being asked and definition of terms Slide 9 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 9 Some questions will have their own explanatory notes or give examples to try and lessen the ambiguity of what is wanted for the response when you see a symbol next to a question you can rollover your cursor and further information is outlined Slide 10 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 10 At the end of the self assessment you will be asked a few questions on demographics and evaluation Slide 11 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 11 Once done you will come to the last page where you have the opportunity to: 1. go back and review your responses 2. Print your results off for viewing and record keeping. Results can also be saved electronically. 3. Once happy with responses you have to click on finalise and submit the self assessment 31 2 Slide 12 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 12 Once you hit submit a message will come up are you sure you wish to finalise the questionnaire? If yes you must hit OK to have the self assessment submitted and recorded as complete Slide 13 PRESENTATION NAME MONTH YYYY PRESENTER NAME 13 The final page gives information on what next and gives another opportunity to download a copy of your completed self assessment You are now done!!
