Exhibitor Testimonials“The basic idea behind putting our products here was to get all our customers

under one roof away from their office. This way we can see all of them get their

full attention and this has been very successful here at Materials Handling.

We’ve been so busy and the quality of trade visitors has been good – a lot from

the UAE and also from the neighbouring countries as well.”

Vinod Arya, Executive Vice President, Dahbashi Group

“Actually the show has been very busy. Today we’ve had lots of overseas visitors

and we have spent a lot of quality time with these customers. We are here for

two reasons – to do business and to bring visibility. Already discussions have

started with some of the people we have met here.”

Arun Savanur, Head – Sales & Marketing, Eternity Technologies

“It has been fairly positive – the quality of visitors has been quite good with

reasonably good potential and the organization has been good. Two years ago

was our first time here and it exceeded our expectations with a lot of good

enquiries which more than pays for the investment and time and I expect it will

be the same this year. We’re not doing much other marketing activity in the

region so Materials Handling is an important source of leads for us.”

David Beanland, Sales Director, Smart Carriers Services Middle East

“This exhibition has a very good plus – in most of the cases the visitors are

operatives, end users – the people who will be making the decision to buy the

product and who will be using it. This has been a very good surprise for us. This

is the best exhibition I have ever participated in in this regard. Here you’ve a very

specific category of people and also companies which are not easy to reach such

as those in the automotive market. Sometimes it is not easy to find the right

person in charge, the decision maker, but we’ve found it here.”

Serafino Monaldi, Business Development Director, Protective Packaging,

Middle East, North Africa, Turkey & Caucasian, Sealed Air

“It is a good show in terms of exposure to clients and getting positive enquiries. This

is our 3rd time here at Materials Handling Middle East and we will come back.”

Thomas B Hanks, General Manager, FACE Middle East

“It has been a very good show. There have been real key visitors here –

customers that we have been trying to reach and we’ve not been able to

get in past reception. Now we’ve met them here and have started real

discussions. The quality of visitors has been really very good with customers

either buying or planning to buy. I love the matchmaking programme – it

definitely helped us and no other show has ever offered us anything like that.”

Mayur Porecha, Managing Director, Constromech

“It has been a great response. We have had very well-known customers and

reputed companies from so many different sectors – oil & gas, power & water

etc. There is very good business to be had at Materials Handling Middle East”

Guru Ravindran, Assistant General Manager, Technical Parts Establishment

“The quality of customers is really good. Whoever came was high quality –

really looking for the products. Most of the people either worked in engineering

or purchasing so most are decision makers. This is the type of exhibition we are

really looking to participate in.”

Srijith Pillai, Marketing & Sales, CarlStahl

“The importance this year is that the show is very specifically for materials

handling companies. It’s very fruitful to be here because the show attracts the

right visitor. We are here because we wanted to show our presence and our

partner Kardenremstar had an important product launch for the Middle East

region. They specifically waited for this show to launch the product. This

platform is ideal because the equipment is not easy to transport so we can

bring all our customers together in one location and showcase it to them all.”

Muhammad Imran Manzoor, Department Manager, Equipments & Material

Handling Solutions Division, Juma Al Majid Est

“It has been a successful show for us without a doubt. We’ve had some really

good enquiries. In a nutshell, while we would always like more enquiries, what

we did have was of really high quality”

Roy Redman, Combilift

“It has been a very good show. Quality visitors, very well attended with good quality

leads and enquiries and good representation from KSA and other GCC countries.”

Damien Murray, Aisle-Master General Manager (Kanoo Machinery stand)

“It has been a good show. We have important visitors – it is not about the

quantity but the quality and we have had important visitors. We got good

enquiries from many countries. I would definitely come back.”

Alessandro Fiorentino, General Manager, fiorentino, industrial cleaning machines

“Exhibition is quite good and more than expected with quality of customers.

It is well attended by the industry and well organized. It is a good opportunity

because we got so many quality customers – they’re looking for quality and

we support them. This will translate into business.”

G. Venkat, Divisional Manager, United Motors & Heavy Equipment

“We were more than happy with our participation at Materials Handling Middle

East 2013. The visitors were of high quality and fitted the profile which we were

hoping to reach. We had more business enquiries than we expected and look

forward to now turning these leads into quality business. It was a fruitful exhibition

for us and we would definitely consider returning again for the next edition.”

Krishna Raj, Godrej

“This year there are top level visitors at Materials Handling Middle East as

well as some of the top exhibitors from the world. It is a great place to make

business with the biggest companies in the world.”

Ersan Alkan, Managing Director, Standard Averys Group

“We have been participating in so many versions of the show and the

exhibition this year was good”

Theo Einhauser, Managing Director, Euroroll

“The show is getting better year on year. There are new and big companies

here along with the high quality of visitors. We will definitely be here for the

next Materials Handling Middle East.”

Camille S Samaha, Group Admin & Finance Director – UAE General Manager

“For SSI Schaefer, Materials Handling Middle East 2013 was a big success.

The quality of visitors was an extremely high level and signals a clear trend

for the rise in the region. We are looking forward to Materials Handling

Middle East 2015.”

Mathias Hower, General Manager, SSI Schaefer

“As an American company we have been studying for several years the growth of

this region and sophistications and the progressive thinking. That was the big

reason it is a very exciting place to stay. We are very established in North America

and increasing in Europe and this is our first year and we probably will be in the

Gulf state.”

Michael M. Hasco, Chief Growth Officer, Seegrid

“We participated in 2011 for the first time in a very small scale and we had a

very good response and that is the reason why we are here this year because

we expanded our business and the intention is to be here at the next exhibition.

We are globally number one for materials handling and transportation system.”

Andre Van Uffelt, Managing Director, Smart Carriers

“It was particularly noted that at this year’s Materials Handling Middle East that

the visitors in general were of a quite senior level. The questions asked were

both general enquiries and project specific, supporting the underlying upward

market trend. The majority of visitors to our stand were there to enquire about

live and potential projects, with many discussions based around site drawings

and existing plant expansions.

Undoubtedly this show is the focus for the Materials Handling Industry in the

region, and serves to provide a platform for both suppliers and customers to

meet and discuss business development. The exhibition certainly fulfills key

objectives to reinforce existing relationships and extend further penetration into

the market. FAMCO are certainly keen to pursue ongoing marketing

opportunities with this exhibition.”

David Dronfield, General Manager – Storage & Handling Solutions, FAMCO
