Dennis GinderPresidentNE Florida Builders Association

It sounded impossible but we did it! For the 2013 “President’s Project”, the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEF-BA) accomplished in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax) to complete 25 homes in seven days.

With the assistance of hundreds of volunteers, NEFBA and HabiJax built more than two dozen new homes in Jackson-ville’s New Town neighborhood for families who have applied for HabiJax’s homeownership program.

Builders and Associate members from the St. Johns Build-ers Council completed the construction of one of the homes located at 1741 West 3rd Street, for Colista Price and her family with the supervision of Jerry Dean (Mercedes Premier Homes), Adam Roller (Inland Homes), Ed Paucek (Blackstar Group), Robert Marshall (World Island Builders), Thomas Stauffacher (St. Johns Housing Partnership), Bill Lazar (St. Johns Housing Partner-ship) and Mike Davis (A.D. Davis Construction). The St. Johns Builders Council represents Builders and Trade Contractors of St. Johns County and is a council of Northeast Florida Builders Association. These two groups, working to-gether have an important legacy of advocating for the builder community and strives to repre-sent members through indus-try groups, training, community service, and effective repre-sentation on the issues that affect the construction industry in Northeast Florida. Thank you to all of the builders, trade con-tractors, and vol-unteers from the St. Johns Builders Council who donated time or materials to help realize the dream of ownership for Colista Price and her family. St. Johns County is very fortunate to have a group of business people that are always so willing to help out and make a difference in their community. Thank you again for a job well done.

When Bill Cellar first became a builder, in North-east Florida, he did so with a personal pledge to make a difference in the industry. Providence Homes was created with the com-mitment to build beautifully designed homes at affordable prices. He has made it his goal to build every home with the same attention to detail and commitment to excellence he would with his own family’s home.

Today as CEO of Providence Homes, Bill contin-ues to build upon the philosophy that homeowners deserve

the best he can give. “The combination of our product, pricing, location and team equate to a tremendous value for our customers” said Bill. “We treat our custom-ers, trade partners and Realtors the way we would like to be treated. We approach every day that way, and if you strive for that goal, you will earn a reputation for quality that will be recognized and honored”. At the end of the day, Bill Cellar’s original commitment to building each home as if he were building it for his own family has set Providence apart.

“NORMANDY”, the 2013 Showcase Home, by Providence is located in Durbin Crossing in the Northwest section of St. Johns County. This spa-cious 5 bedroom, 3 and half bath home features many upgrades to de-light the future homeowner. The modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances with oak cabinets and drop down lighting. This home is a “must to see” during the 2013 Parade of Homes. Also look for more homes by Providence in Crosswater at Pablo Bay, Eagle Landing, No-catee, Parkside Lakes, Two Creeks, World Golf Village and Yellow Bluff Landing.

These awards recognizes the important contributions Providence Homes has made to energy-efficient construction and environmental protection by building over 500 Energy Star qualified homes during this time. “We are extremely excited to be recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency for our commitment to building 100% certified-Energy Star Homes in the Jacksonville marketplace” said Sean Junker, Providence Homes President and COO. “We believe that our combination of an En-ergy Star home with remarkable curb appeal at an affordable price means we are able to offer homebuyers he opportunity to minimize their environ-mental impact without having to change between their values and their budget”.

Providence Homes will continue to pro-vide homeowners with a quality product that includes classic-style opportunities with state-of-the-art technology in high performance ENERGY STAR homes. Our goal is to continue to grow in Northeast Florida and to focus all of our efforts in providing the highest quality, perfor-mance homes for homebuyers who are looking for lifestyle, design features, and homes that they can be proud to live with their family for years to come!!!
