Happening This Week...ANNOUNCEMENTS
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 10TH
Happy Birthday Brodie Campus! This Sunday we are celebrating the launch of the Brodie location one year ago. Our first Sunday at St. John’s was
on November 11, 2012. It’s hard to imagine that just over a year ago we were having dessert meetings to see who wanted to
commit to being a pilgrim to help form our core group at the
Brodie Campus. I want to give a BIG
thank you to the whole church for making this all possible. Thank you for your prayers, your financial support,
your encouragement and your presence. Thank you to all the pilgrims for answering God’s call and leaving your familiar surroundings and familiar faces at the William Cannon Campus to venture further south. What a great first year it has been. We are looking forward to all that God has in store as we continue to reach out to the surrounding community with the good news of Jesus Christ! Join us for lunch & cake today after worship at the Brodie Campus as we experience the 1st Big Story Live with kids & parents!Serving You for His Glory!

Giving Made Easier…& other helpful web tipsWe’re catching up with the times! Recognizing that many of the payments and purchases that you make every day are electronic, we are offering two ways to give online.Go to www.giving.shpc.org to either access a quick form to make a one-time credit or debit card offering or access your SHPC account to make one-time gifts or schedule your giving for automatic contributions. What else can you do from your online account? Quite a lot, actually! You can opt into an online directory, change your contact info, download statements and so much more! A Big, BIG Debut for Big Story Live! TodayBig Story Live! is a 45-minute interactive, exciting experience that takes place the second Sunday of each month through the school year. Kids and parents come together to learn about God’s Big Story. Because our goal is to partner with families, these performances point to what we’re teaching in UpStreet on Sunday mornings, so they give parents the chance to explore our monthly theme, scripture lessons and Life Application in a super-fun environment!
Join a team of SHPC volunteers as we help with the cleanup efforts in an area devastated by the Halloween floods. We will work this afternoon from 1pm to 5 pm. We will meet at the Crossroads Community church at East William Cannon at Pleasant Valley between 12:30 and 1 p.m.Be prepared for some physical work in uncertain conditions. You should wear long pants such as jeans, good protective shoes, work gloves, mosquito repellant, have some sort of mask and eye protection.Team members under the age of 18 who would like to volunteer will need to have a parent sign a waiver onsite. For more information, please call Bill Brock at 512.917.4980.
