When I found out I was pregnant, I felt ashamed and scared. I knew the pregnancy would jeopardize my job, school and living situation. I went right away to a clinic and considered abortion. Through the encouragement of a friend, I came to WPC and from that day forward, my life had new meaning.
The staff at WPC were warm, wise and supportive. I stopped feeling ashamed and instead felt like I could make the right decision for me. I ended up choosing adoption, and WPC was there through the entire process. I did lose my job and housing, but WPC helped me with both. I had never before experienced such unconditional love.
Now I am a mom to a beautiful baby boy who is my joy. I completed school and am now a registered nurse. I feel so blessed that I found WPC. Their door has always been open. I have taken everything I learned from this amazing place and it has made me a better mom and person! –HEIDI
