Working CredentialsRequests for press box seating should be made directly to the LA Tech Media Relations Office before Monday of game week. Admission to the press box of Joe Aillet Stadium is by credential only and credentials are distributed to working members of the media only – no family mem-bers or friends. Passes will be mailed if time allows; otherwise, left at Will Call on the stadium’s west side at the press box elevator entrance.

Radio/TV PolicyPermission to broadcast from Joe Aillet Stadium and Independence Stadium must be obtained through the LA Tech Athletics Media Relations Department. The visiting team’s official network will be provided free broadcast rights. For information concerning courtesy phone lines, contact Patrick Walsh at (318) 257-5305. Additional phone lines can be obtained by calling BellSouth directly at 1-800-866-6701 (outside Louisiana). The third level of the LA Tech Press Box offers an unobstructed view for television cameras.

Press ParkingParking is limited and passes will be issued on a priority basis. The Joe Aillet Stadium press parking lot is located on the southwest corner of the stadium, just off West Alabama Avenue.

Press Box ServicesAll vital game information is provided by the LA Tech Stat Crew. An internal press box PA keeps members of the media informed of each play.Post-game quotes from head coach Skip Holtz and selected players, as well as the visiting coach, are also available. Telephone and high-speed internet lines are available for media usage and a pre-game meal is served at each home game starting approximately two hours before kickoff. Level one provides working space for print and electronic media and the LA Tech Stat Crew along with LA Tech and visiting athletic director booths. Level two provides space for cameras and houses home and visiting radio booths and coaches’ booths.

daily Media AvailabilityThe following is a general weekly schedule of media availability for the Louisi-ana Tech football team. Members of the media are expected to adhere to these policies at all times. All interview requests should be made to Louisiana Tech Associate Director of Media Relations Patrick Walsh at least 24 hours in advance. All media availability times are subject to change. Please contact Patrick Walsh for any changes in the schedule. (Note: First year players are not available to the media unless by special request.)

Monday: LA Tech’s weekly media luncheon starts with food served at noon and statements/interviews beginning around 12:30 p.m. A few players will also be made available. Head coach Skip Holtz’s radio show airs from 6-7 p.m. live from the Dawg House in Ruston.Tuesday: The last 30 minutes of practice are open to the media. Coaches and players are available following practice (first-year players not available). All video must be of individual players and not of team drills or formations.Wednesday: The last 30 minutes of practice are open to the media. Coaches and players are available following practice (first-year players not available). All video must be of individual players and not of team drills or formations.Thursday, Friday and Sunday: No availability.Saturday: Post-game availability only. Members of the LA Tech Athletics Media Relations Staff will escort media representatives to the media room with five minutes remaining in the game. The Louisiana Tech locker room, home or away, is closed to the media at all times. Post-game interview requests should be submit-ted to Patrick Walsh before the five minute mark in the fourth quarter.

For games in Ruston, all Louisiana Tech post-game press conference will be held in the Jarrell Room located in the Charles Wyly Athletic Center after each game following a 10-minute cooling off period. No interviews will be allowed on the field with players and/or coaches immediately following games. Coach Holtz and selected Louisiana Tech players will be available in the press conference following games. Opposing coaches will be available outside the visiting locker room fol-lowing a 10-minute cooling off period.

Social MediaLouisiana Tech fans can access the most in-depth information regarding all the University’s programs through social media opportunities available online.

LA Tech All-Access – LA Tech All-Access is a subscription based platform that Tech fans can access live video/audio streams of almost every Tech home sport-ing event and live audio streams of road football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and selected baseball and softball games plus press conferences and other special events. For only $9.95 per month or $79.95 for the year, Bulldog and Lady Techster fans can be a part of all of the action.

Louisiana Tech fans can tune into the LA Tech Sports Network this fall for all live game broadcasts for the Bulldogs 12-game schedule as well as 12 editions of Inside Bulldog Football with Sonny Dykes.

For the 14th straight year, the LA Tech Sports Network will team up with KXKZ-FM (107.5) Ruston as the flagship station for Tech Athletics.

In addition to KXKZ, the LA Tech Sports Network will consist of KNBB-FM 97.7 (Ruston), KPCH-FM 99.3 (Ruston), KJVC-FM 92.7 (Mansfield), KTKC-FM 92.9 (Springhill), KBEF-FM 104.5 (Minden), KASO-AM 1240 (Minden), KVCL-FM 92.1 (Winnfield), KRMD-FM 100.7 (Shreveport) which also si-mulcasts on 1340 AM and WUBR-AM 910 (Baton Rouge/Zachary).

All Bulldog football games can also be accessed online (audio for road games/video and audio for home games) by purchasing a subscrip-tion to LA Tech All-Access on latechsports.com. Cost of a subscription to LA Tech All-Access is only $9.95 per month or $79.95 for the entire year (which includes all live broadcasts for all of Tech’s athletic teams).

This fall all of the Tech football broadcasts can be heard on the LA Tech Sports Network as Dave Nitz, Teddy Allen, Malcom Butler, Bennie Thornell and Mason Ellenberger comprise the broadcast team.

Nitz enters his 39th year of calling Bulldog football games as the legendary Voice of the Bulldogs has been calling games since 1974 along with Tech men’s basketball and baseball contests. Nitz, who was named the 2009 Louisiana Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscast-ers and Sportswriters Association, was also recognized in 2010 as he called his 2000th Louisiana Tech sporting event.

Allen enters his third season behind the mic as he will serve as the color commentator for all 12 contests. The 1982 Tech journalism graduate is a well-known, highly-read award-winning Louisiana journalist having covered local sports for Shreveport, Monroe and New Orleans dailies from 1984 until 1990. He has written columns for the News-Star and the Times for the past 22 years.

Butler is in his 15th year at Louisiana Tech but this will mark his first season reporting from the sidelines at football games. The “Voice of the Lady Techsters” during basketball season, Butler finished second place behind Nitz in the LSWA College Radio Play-by-Play category in 2013 and has broadcast more than 380 women’s basketball games – including 15 NCAA Tournmaent games.

Thornell begins his 24th year as a member of the LA Tech Sports Network as he will serve as the statistician for the majority of Bulldog football games this year while also moving down to the sideline for a

selected number of contests. A 1969 graduate of the Louisiana Tech marketing department, Thornell began his association with the LA Tech Sports Network in 1990 as the statistician before moving down to the sideline in 1996 where he has spent the majority of his time.

Mason Ellenberger is the general manager for LA Tech Sports Properties which maintains all the rights to the LA Tech Sports Net-work. Ellenberger, who enters his fourth year as a member of the LA Tech Athletics family, was instrumental in the growth of LA Tech Sports Properties which was recognized as the #1 new growth property in the Learfield Sports portfolio in 2009-10.

The LA Tech Sports Network team will host a one-hour pregame show prior to each kickoff and a 30-minute post-game show. Tech Gameday, a two-hour pre-pregame show, will also air prior to each home contest at Joe Aillet Stadium live from Tailgate Alley.

Hill Oil’s Inside Bulldog Football with Skip Holtz

Louisiana Tech head coach Skip Holtz will team up with the long-time voice of the Bulldogs Dave Nitz for 12 Mondays during the season for the Inside Bulldog Football radio show.

The one-hour show will air on Mon-days from 6-7 p.m. LIVE from the Dawg House Sports Grill in Ruston as all Tech fans are encouraged to attend the event in sup-port of LA Tech football.

The show can also be heard each week on the LA Tech Sports Net-work on ESPN Radio 97.7 FM and via the internet by purchasing a subscrip-tion for LA Tech All-Access at www.latechsports.com as Nitz and Holtz will review the previous contest while previewing the upcoming game.

LA Tech players and coaches will be special guests on the show along with former alumni and other members of the LA Tech Athletics family.
