This award recognizes an alumnus for selfless dedication of time, energy and talent in service to others.

ALUMNI PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This award is presented to an alum who has made significant contributions to his/her professional field while exemplifying high moral and business ethics.

ALUMNI DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
This award is presented to an alum who has made significant contributions to the quality of life in his/her community, to the development of overall values and morals within others, and shall be an outstanding citizen in his/her own right. Recipient shall be a dedicated alumna/us who supports the growth and development of Winthrop University through his/her service to and/or support of programs and objectives established by the university.
RECIPIENT: Kristen Gebhart Magee ’95, Simpsonville, S.C. OUTSTANDING YOUNG ALUMNI AWARD
This award is presented to an alum who is 35 or younger. The award shall recognize a former Winthrop student whose service to the university, service to the community and professional achievements have reflected positively on all alumni and the university.

Once again Winthrop reunion classes are participating in the Come Back, Give Back Challenge in support of the Winthrop Fund. This challenge began on January 1, 2013 and will run until November 8, 2013. At the
Alumni Awards Luncheon on Saturday, November 9, the reunion classes with the highest level of participation and the highest collective gift amount will
each receive an award commemorating their achievement. To date, the reunion class with the greatest participation is
1973, and the class with the largest gift is 1968.
Order a brick by September 15 or a PO Box by October 30 and you’ll mark your spot in Winthrop history and support the Winthrop Fund.
Personalized bricks can be purchased for $100 and original Dinkins PO
Boxes are available for $125. While on campus for Homecoming and Alumni Weekend you can view your brick on Scholars Walk or take home your PO Box. These gifts are tax deductible and a great way to commemorate your days at Winthrop. For more
