Over the years the Highland Country Club Junior Golf Program hasprovided our Juniors the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the gameof golf from trained PGA of Canada Golf Professionals. We pride ourselvesin the overall development of all of our Juniors and have had a number ofJuniors become Golf Professionals, attend U.S. and Canadian Universitieson golf scholarships, and become very successful in the business world.

Our program again this season consists of a variety of instructionalprograms, special events and golf tournaments designed for all of our JuniorMembers to learn and compete in a safe and fun environment.

The attached is an outline of our program. Should you have any questions orwish to register for any of the events please feel free to contact theProfessional Shop to discuss the program in greater detail.

GOLF COURSE DRESS CODE

It is very important that all members are aware of the dress code policy as itapplies to the golf course. In general appropriate dress is required our

Juniors must also always abide by the dress code as outlined below.Members who bring guests to golf at Highland should communicate ourdress code policy to their guests to avoid any potential embarrassment.

Women- Tailored golf style shirts with collar or sleeves or both may be worn

with slacks, golf shorts or skirts.

- Golf skirts, shorts and skorts are to be an appropriate tailored variety

with an outseam of not less than 17 or be no shorter than 4 abovethe knee.

- Golf dresses must be no shorter tan 4 above the knee.

- Quarter socks or sockettes must be worn with either skirts or shorts.

Men

- No T-shirts please. Only authentic mock shirts are allowed. All other

shirts must have collars.

- All shirts must be tucked in, no exceptions.

- Slacks should be tailored and shorts must be no shorter than 2 above

the knee.

- Knee socks, quarter socks or sockettes must be worn with shorts.

(Socks may not be rolled down).

Not Permitted - (Men and Women)- Denim clothing of any colour.

- Sweat pants/Track pants

-Golf sandals, metal spikes

- Cargo pants/shorts

- Athletic socks

- Halter tops/ tank tops

Tiny Tots Program

Dates: Sunday May 26th, June 2nd, 9th 16th 3:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m.

For: Juniors ages 4-7 (One Parent per Child)

Cost: $60.00 + GST

Instruction: Basic Instruction, Cart Rides, Prizes, Treats for the Kids

Instructors: Tyler Vaillant, Rick Pero, Aaron Luepen

ADVANCED JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM

For those Juniors who are currently in competitive golf or preparing tocompete in Junior Golf Tournaments. Players will be required to submit ashort essay outlining their short term and long term goals, why they wish toparticipate in the program and how many hours per week they plan to spendworking on their golf game. This essay will be required to be submittedbefore selection into the program. Due Date: May 1st, 2013.

This program will provide Juniors with in-depth instruction, coursemanagement, tournament preparation, rules of golf, fitness for golf,discussion about the opportunities in the golf industry and much more.

The program will include time on the driving range, putting green, shortgame area and also on the golf course.

We are excited about this program and encourage our Juniors both boys andgirls to participate in order to improve their golf games and increase theirconfidence on and off the golf course.

The program will consist of 8 1.5 hour sessions. Total of 12 hours ofinstruction.

Dates: Saturdays Dates to be announced

For: Junior Members Ages 12 18.

Summer Junior School

Dates: July 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th (Tuesday Friday)

Times: 9:00 am 3:00 pmNote: Supervision from 8 9 am and 3 5 pm is available.

For: Junior Members and Guests (Ages 8 16)

Cost:Full Day: $180.00 + HST (includes lunch & snacks daily plus special campgift)

Half Day: $110 + HST ( 9:00 am 12 Noon; lunch not included)

Juniors will be involved in golf instruction, etiquette and rules of golfawareness, plus other fun camp activities.

Highland Junior Invitational (Tyson Tour Event)

Date: Monday July 22nd

For: Any Juniors (Ages 12-18)

Cost: $40 (includes Lunch and Prizes)

Format: 18 Hole Stroke play event with 4 divisions (Bantams 12-13,

Juveniles 14-16, Juniors 17-18, Girls)

Dates: Mondays from June 24th August 26th

Exceptions - Monday July 22nd (Junior Amateur)- Monday July 29th (Highland Amateur)- Monday August 5th (In Club Best Ball)- Note: August 12th will be off both tees between 8 & 8:30

Time: 8:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m.Ages 12 18 off Front Nine

8:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. (adult supervision is required)Ages 8 11 off Back Nine

Players must sign up in advance outside pro shop. Please sign up orcall pro shop by 5:00 pm Sunday. Draw will be made for nextmorning at that time.

Cost: Free

Format: FedEx Cup Format. Points each week. 4 different divisions based onage. Accumulated total throughout the year. Top 3 in each division winprizes at the end of the year.
